WWE NIL Athlete KeShaun Moore Will ‘Most Likely Be Stepping In The Ring’ When Football Career Ends
A WWE Next In Line athlete recently signed on to play in the Canadian Football League. However, he believes he will be inside the squared circle when his football career ends.
On May 9, the Saskatchewan Roughriders announced they had signed American defensive lineman KeShaun Moore to their roster. Moore also happens to be a WWE NIL athlete.
WWE’s NIL program gives collegiate athletes a path to the world of entertainment and WWE if their career in their desired sport does not pan out.
Speaking with CTV News, Moore discussed his connection with WWE and the likelihood of stepping inside the ring when his days on the gridiron are done.
“They [WWE] reached out to me about a year ago, and it’s been a good partnership with them during this time. I’ve never wrestled in my life, but yeah, I have that going on as well as football,” Moore said. “A lot of the superstars that have come from the past two, three decades who wrestled were big-time superstars who were playing collegiate sports.
“When my playing days are over, I most likely will be stepping in the ring. But right now, I’m 24. I still got the itch to play ball. I’m definitely going to play football as long as I can for sure,” added Moore. “I’ve gone to SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, and I get ringside tickets when I go to events. They’re super awesome to talk to, I can reach out when I have a question about everything. They’re basically saying the doors always open for me to step into the ring whenever I decide to take that step.”
WWE is currently in the process of creating a reality show regarding some of its recruits. Fans can learn more about the filming of that upcoming series at this link.
WWE NXT Superstar Tank Ledger is one of the first NIL athletes to make it to TV. He recently lost some teeth during a tag team match on the May 9 episode of WWE NXT. Learn more here.
