Saraya Opens Up About Dealing With Endo Belly, How It Prevents Her From Wrestling
Saraya opens up about a sensitive subject.
Many female wrestlers within the world of wrestling are often subject to unfair or hateful comments from fans, especially in the online wrestling community. Although many fans have tried to eliminate those types of people from the wrestling community, there are still a few bad apples out there on occasion.
Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, has been one of the leaders for women in wrestling when it comes to speaking up about hate speech. In a recent interview with Taylor Wilde, Saraya opened up about having Endo Belly and how it can sometimes lead to fans fat shaming her online.
“The things that used to bother me the most, out of everything, is the way they would look at my weight. Everyone has an opinion about it. Lately, as well, they’re telling me I look a lot bigger than usual. I want to tell them, listen, I’m getting older, I have really bad endometriosis. My belly swells up, I get endo belly. It swells up for a couple of weeks and it’s really painful. I try and hide it, but I can’t wrestle when my belly is like that. I can’t wear wrestling gear, I’m too swollen. It’s a really painful experience for me, and people just think that I’m fat. You have no idea, but everyone has an opinion.”
