Here is your fight size update following AEW Dynamite on May 3, 2023.

– Jeff Jarrett, Jay Briscoe, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh took a trip to the Briscoe family farm. They did some chores, hoping to score some brownie points with Mark. Papa Briscoe showed up and warned Mark not to trust some of the others, even though he has history with Lethal. The former ROH World Champion then issued a challenge to AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) to a match at AEW Double or Nothing.

– Roderick Strong made his AEW in-ring debut in an eight-man tag team match where he teamed up with Adam Cole, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, and Bandido. The contest marked Strong’s first match since August 2022, and the quartet defeated Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, and Jake Hager. Cole then attacked Chris Jericho, who joined the commentary team for the match.

– In a promo, AEW World Tag Team Champions The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) announced that they are now doing “Open House Rules” for their title matches; any three competitors can form a team and challenge for the gold. In their title matches, there will be a 20 count on the floor, there won’t be any rope breaks, and disqualifications will be optional.

– Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley of Blackpool Combat Club sent a heated message to The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson).

– Interference from Ruby Soho and Toni Storm helped Saraya defeat Willow Nightingale. Hikaru Shida made her return after the bell and teased joining The Outcasts before she turned on the group and attacked them with Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.

– TNT Champion Wardlow easily defeated Logan Laroux. When he called out Christian Cage and Luchasaurus after the match, he was surprised to learn that Cage, rather than Luchasaurus, had his sights set on a title shot.

– Ricky Starks scored a hard-fought win over Juice Robinson. Jay White tried to attack him after the bell, but Starks gained the upper hand.

– Britt Baker slapped Chris Jericho backstage after Adam Cole was taken away by security.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn won the Tres de Mayo Trios Battle Royale

– Kenny Omega and Don Callis shared their thoughts ahead of Omega’s Steel Cage match against Jon Moxley on the May 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.

– The Firm Deletion match was highlighted in a video package.

– The friendship between AEW World Champion MJF and Sammy Guevara imploded during the Four Pillars Tag Match. As a result, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry and Darby Allin won the bout and earned their spots in the main event of AEW Double or Nothing.
