2023 Owen Hart Cup Announced; Opening Ceremonies Set For Double Or Nothing, Finals Scheduled For 7/15

The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament is back.

The announcement was first made by Tony Khan on the April 26 episode of AEW Dynamite. Khan first revealed that the opening ceremonies of the tournament will take place at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view on May 28. The tournament will then span throughout the summer, where many episodes of AEW Dynamite & Rampage will be held in Owen Hart’s home country of Canada.

The finals for the tournament are set to conclude on Saturday, July 15 at the Calgary Stampede Saddledome in Calgary, AB, Canada. Currently, that event is set to be a House Rules show.

Khan also noted that tournament matches will take place at joint AEW x NJPW pay-per-view, Forbidden Door, on June 25,

It is currently unknown who will participate in this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments. Fightful will update fans when that information is made available
