Mike Rome Talks Being In WWE 2K23, Says He Downloaded A Playable Version Of Himself

Mike Rome discusses being in WWE 2K23.

WWE 2K23 has been out for nearly two months now, and many fans and critics are still enjoying the game to the fullest extent. One of the best parts of this year’s game is the robust creations that are being uploaded to Community Creations, which some say are among the best creations ever made in the game.

The new wave of excitement around community creations has been partially led by WhatsTheStatus, a player who has uploaded quite a few unique things to the game.

In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, WWE announcer Mike Rome talked about being in the game and how he downloaded a playable version of himself off of community creations, which was created by WhatsTheStatus.

“Dude, it was wild. I actually went down a rabbit hole, because I finally got my code. I got home, I put it in and loaded it up and I downloaded myself off the create a player list of characters from the community. I think WhatsTheStatus put it together, it’s just me in this black suit and I’m just wailing on people. I went down this long rabbit hole and built this announce team and five hours went by and I was like ‘Dude, I’ve been on this game forever.’”

Rome also talked about getting to do a full digital scan for the game just like every wrestler that is included on the game’s roster.

“Greg had been here longer so Greg had been doing it. When Greg left, this was my first game ever. Yeah, they do a full digital scan, they put your entire likeness in there, it’s crazy. I look jacked in the game, I look huge, much bigger than I am in real life.”

WhatsTheStatus has also uploaded playable versions of Kayla Braxton, Paul Heyman, Michael Cole, and others to the game’s community creations server.
