– Cody Rhodes sent a message to Brock Lesnar as he told his WWE Backlash opponent to pick a body part to scar; he looked back on beating Seth Rollins with a torn pectoral at WWE Hell in a Cell 2022 and said he’d essentially do the same when he faces Lesnar. When Finn Balor interrupted and tried to convince Cody to join The Judgment Day, Rhodes turned him down and challenged him to a match.

– Following a heated confrontation between WWE United States Champion Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley, Bronson Reed stood tall after a brawl.

Triple H announced that WWE will crown a new World Heavyweight Champion at WWE Night of Champions.

– Bad Bunny made the save when Damian Priest attacked Rey Mysterio after their match, where Rey won via disqualification, and announced that he will be facing Priest in a San Juan Street at WWE Backlash.

– WWE confirmed that IYO SKY will challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Backlash. SKY commented on the news and stated that it was time to start a revolution. 

Seth Rollins set his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship and stated that he would make Omos famous when they face each other at WWE Backlash.

– Cody Rhodes scored a hard-fought win over Finn Balor.

– The Bloodline (The Usos and Solo Sikoa) defeated The LWO (Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde). After the bell, The Usos dedicated their future win against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown to Roman Reigns.

– The LWO (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro) debuted a new theme song that paid tribute to Eddie Guerrero.

– Trish Stratus remained adamant that Becky Lynch owed her a thank you; she stated that she helped Lynch by taking her out when “The Man” was struggling with the pressure.

– Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair joined forces with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to defeat Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY).

– The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) picked up a decisive win against Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.

– Sami Zayn talked to both Jimmy and Jey Uso throughout the night. In doing so, he upset Kevin Owens, who told him he needed to focus on their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match against The Usos on the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown.

– Perhaps distracted by Otis and Maxine Dupri, who continued her efforts to recruit Otis away from Alpha Academy, Chad Gable lost to Mustafa Ali.

WWE announced that Brock Lesnar will appear on the May 1 episode of WWE Raw.

– In a Raw Exclusive, Elias noted that he thought he and Rick Boggs could be a special tag team.

– On Raw Talk, MVP spoke highly of Seth Rollins but stated that his match against Omos was no laughing matter. Omos said that Rollins wouldn’t be laughing after their bout at WWE Backlash.

– In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez discussed their victory.

In a video package, WWE celebrated 40 years of granting wishes with Make-A-Wish.

– Logan Paul teased his interest in the World Heavyweight Championship. 

– Matt Cardona said that Bad Bunny is the Broski of the Week for wearing an “Indy God” on WWE Raw.

– Cody Rhodes commented on his eventful night.
