WWE SmackDown On 4/21/23 Records Decrease In Final Viewership, Key Demo Rating

The final numbers are in for the April 21 episode of WWE SmackDown. 

According to Wrestlenomics, WWE SmackDown on April 21 averaged 2.175 million viewers in final viewership. This is down from the 2.265 million viewers that the show averaged on April 14.

Furthermore, the April 21 episode of WWE SmackDown recorded a 0.54 rating in the key 18 to 49 demographic. This is also down from the previous week’s episode, which recorded a 0.58 rating.

SpoilerTV reported on April 22 that WWE SmackDown on April 21 averaged 2.088 million viewers in the preliminary figures. The first hour scored 2.125 million viewers while the second hour had 2.051 million viewers. This number is down from the April 14 episode, which drew 2.135 million viewers in the preliminary numbers.

This was SmackDown’s lowest preliminary viewership since December 16, 2022, when the show scored a 2.056 preliminary viewership number.

Friday’s episode drew a 0.49 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, with the first hour coming in at a 0.51 and the second hour decreasing to a 0.47 rating. The preliminary rating for April 7 came in a 0.53 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

At the start of hour two, ABC began airing an NBA playoff game pitting the Cleveland Cavaliers against the New York Knicks. This game usurped SmackDown as the top network program between 9-10 PM ET with 2.189 million viewers and a 0.53 demo rating.
