MJF Announces Pillars Tournament, Winner Gets AEW Title Shot At AEW Double Or Nothing
The Pillars will battle in a tournament.
“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Sammy Guevara, and Darby Allin began AEW Dynamite by interrupting each other and then taking shots at each other as they made their case to be the next challenger for the AEW World Title.
Allin and Perry admitted their respect for Guevara because “what you see is what you get.” Allin was upset that Guevara got things handed to him as part of the California crew and Perry said Allin is unfriendly backstage.
MJF eventually came out to announce a Pillar tournament where the winner will face him for the AEW World Title at AEW Double or Nothing. After his name was drawn out of a hat, Allin was given a bye, setting up Guevara vs. Perry.
Guevara vs Perry took place on the April 19 episode of AEW Dynamite with Guevara winning by countout after MJF knocked out Perry on the outside. Guevara will face Allin on the April 26 episode of AEW Dynamite.
