Janai Kai: It’s Great To Have A Role Model Like Maria Kanellis In Charge Of Women’s Wrestling Army

Janai Kai discusses working with Maria Kanellis in the Women’s Wrestling Army promotion.

Women’s Wrestling Army recently aired the final episode of their most recent season on Wednesday, March 29. The season finale capped off an eventful season for the Maria Kanellis led promotion that is quickly approaching its one year anniversary.

One of the highlight stars of Women’s Wrestling Army is Janai Kai, who is one of the highlight stars of the independent scene in general.

In a interview with WrestleZone, Kai spoke very highly of Kanellis and the way she runs Wrestling Women’s Army, citing that she knows how to use every individual star on the roster.

“Oh man, it’s been a great experience because Maria [Kanellis] really focuses on each and every one of us and it’s just great to have a role model and someone like Maria in charge because she’s been through a lot and she’s gone through basically almost every other company. She’s just been able to really teach us and guide us in the right direction and she knows what to do creative wise too. She basically knows how to use each and every one of us. We’re all different in our own way, but she already knows what she wants to do with us individually which is awesome because sometimes when you go to other promotions, you don’t know if you fit in or you’re probably like ‘Oh, I don’t know if they really want to have me here again or if they see me being a good feature on their show.’ We always have that in our mind, but Maria has really been able to really work with us and really make sure that we grow in that sense and she really makes us feel welcomed.”

Kanellis recently noted that she’s trying to get Women’s Wrestling Army on HonorClub. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
