Britt Baker: I Stand By What I Said About Thunder Rosa, I Still Have Questions
Britt Baker still has questions.
In the trailer for AEW All Access, Britt Baker is shown saying, “There are so many storylines on hold right now because she’s the champion,” referencing Thunder Rosa, who was AEW Women’s Champion in the summer of 2022, being out of action with an injury. An interim title was created while Rosa was sidelined, and the interim title eventually became the undisputed title as Rosa remained out of action.
In the premiere episode, Baker is seen talking to Jamie Hayter and Toni Storm about Rosa’s decision to give up the AEW Women’s Title, but continuing to make personal appearances.
Asked by SLAM Wrestling if her opinion on Rosa has changed, Baker replied, “I stand by everything I said because I still have the same questions… You are traveling all over the place for other projects but you’re not coming work where you are the champion? I have that question. I want to know why. I am just asking that question because I’m very passionate and protective of AEW. Anyone can call me a bully but I stand by that and that question still hasn’t been answered to this day. People like Adam Cole would have killed to be able to come to work but he cannot travel. It is not like he was going in and doing a signing or convention or a seminar. They’re not coming to work but he wasn’t able to even leave the house.”
It is unknown when Rosa will return to the ring from her back injury. She is currently doing Spanish commentary for AEW events and has been traveling with the promotion.
Adam Cole has been sidelined since AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door with concussion issues. His recovery was documented on AEW All Access. He is set to return to the ring on the March 29 episode of AEW Dynamite when he takes on Daniel Garcia.
Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
