Trey Miguel Says He’ll Use Mario Kart Banana Peels & Shells Against Lince Dorado At IMPACT Sacrifice

Trey Miguel discusses his upcoming X-Division Championship defense against Lince Dorado.

Ahead of their big joint show with New Japan Pro Wrestling on March 30, IMPACT Wrestling will visit Windsor, Ontario, Canada for the Sacrifice event on March 24. The current card for Sacrifice will currently features a IMPACT Knockouts World Championship match between Mickie James and Jordynne Grace, as well as IMPACT X-Division Title Bout between Trey Miguel and Lince Dorado.

In a new interview with Steve Fall of WrestlingNews.co, Miguel revealed that he has a special strategy to slow down Dorado during their match at Sacrifice.

“Lince [Dorado] is a good friend of mine, he’s a very fun human being, an  awesome wrestler. I’m gonna kick his ass though. I plan on throwing a bunch of banana peels in the ring because he likes to do all of this running and flipping and stuff, I’ve been playing a lot of Mario Kart and I’ve realized that the faster they go, the more they spin when you throw that banana peel. I’m gonna catch him lacking, that’s what’s gonna happen.”

When Steve Fall suggested that Miguel should also use a green shell to bring down Dorado, Miguel instead brought up the controversial blue shell, which is often argued as an overpowered part of Mario Kart.

“Or the blue one is a definite. It has those wings, it finds whoever’s in first so the second he thinks he’s ahead, I’m throwing that blue shell at him.”

Fightful will have full coverage of IMPACT Wrestling Sacrifice beginning at 8 p.m. EST on Friday.
