Jeon Replacing Injured Nadia Kassem At UFC Fight Night 110
Nadia Kassem has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been pulled from the UFC Fight Night 110 card, replacing her against JJ Aldrich is going to be Chan-Mi Jeon.
Aldrich (4-2-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Juliana Lima via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 102. Aldrich also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, where she dropped a fight to eventual reality show winner Tatiana Suarez. Aldrich won three of four in Invicta FC competition, having defeated Delaney Owen, Lynn Alvarez and Rosa Acevedo.
Jeon (5-0-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this fight and she does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted just over two years. Jeon is also the current Korean All MMA Association Women’s Flyweight Champion, having defeated Natsumi Sugie to win the gold in December of 2015. Jeon also won a one night, four woman tournament for the All Fighting Championships promotion, defeating So-Min Ji in the finals.
UFC Fight Night 110 takes place on Saturday, June 10 from the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand with Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
