Bronson Reed Looks Back On Defeating Kazuchika Okada, What It Meant For WWE Return
During Bronson Reed’s time away from WWE following his release in August 2021, he competed for IMPACT, NJPW, and various independent promotions.
Reed scored the biggest win of his non-WWE career when he defeated Kazuchika Okada in the NJPW G1 Climax 2022 tournament.
Speaking on Overnight Crowd, Reed discussed his victory over Okada.
“These are things that are unprecedented. People didn’t think that I would be able to do it, but I knew that my time away from WWE, I needed to make sure that I was staying impressive. Being able to get a victory over someone like Okada, who you rarely see lay on his shoulders for three seconds, meant a lot to me, but it also meant a lot to me to be able to come back to WWE with purpose and with a newfound chip on my shoulder,” he said.
Reed returned to WWE in December 2022, helping The Miz defeat Dexter Lumis in a ladder match.
Reed is coming off a victory over Elias on the March 13 episode of WWE Raw.
