Stock previously worked as a producer for WWE for several years, and she also has a successful in-ring career; she worked for AAA, CMLL, and TNA, among other companies. She was hired by AEW as a coach/producer, and Tony Khan introduced her to the live crowd after the March 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, which was held in her hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
In a tweet on March 17, AEW officially welcomed Stock to the team, and she shared her thoughts on joining the company. Stock made it clear that she’s looking forward to seeing people she already knows and meeting new people as well. She also highlighted the way that it was special for her to join the company the night they debuted in her hometown of Winnipeg.
“My name’s Sarah Stock. I’ve been in the wrestling business for over 20 years, and I am here as the newest member of the coaching team here at AEW. There are a lot of people I’ve worked with previously, people I’ve even wrestled before, so it’s great to come back here, see people I already know and also meet all the new people as well. There’s no better way to kick off this new chapter of my professional wrestling career than here in my hometown of Winnipeg. To be here with Kenny Omega, who I started training with, he was around in those days as well, and then Chris Jericho, who I’ve always looked up to, my fellow Winnipeggers, it’s a feeling of a homecoming. It’s really beautiful. It’s just a great way to kick things off,” Stock said.
