Bantamweight Bout Added To UFC Fight Night 114
A bantamweight division affair is the newest addition to the UFC Fight Night 114 card as Diego Rivas is in action against Jose Quinonez.
Rivas (7-0-0) has already earned two victories under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Rodolfo Rubio and Noad Lahat. Rivas is also returning to action for the first time in well over a year, as his last bout came at UFC Fight Night 82 in February 2016. Rivas was also a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter Latin America 1, losing in the quarterfinals to Gabriel Benitez.
Quinonez (5-2-0) has won two of three fights thus far during his UFC tenure, with those victories coming over Leonardo Morales and Joey Gomez. Prior to coming to the UFC in late 2014, the fighter defeated fellow UFC fighter Alejandro Perez at Fight Club Mexico 3. Quinonez is actually undefeated on “Fight Night” cards, as both of his victories in the UFC have come at “Fight Night” events.
UFC Fight Night 114 takes place on Saturday, August 5 from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico with Sergio Pettis and Brandon Moreno headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
