A participant in the Lucha Libre World Cup has been removed.
Via their social media, AAA’s Lucha Libre World Cup has revealed that independent wrestler Christi Jaynes has been removed from the tournament, with the reason given is that there were difficulties regarding immigration documents. Jaynes was set to be a part of the tourney as part of the “Rest of the World” team, alongside NWA’s Natalia Markova & current half of the IMPACT Knockout’s Tag Team Champions Taya Valkyrie. The tournament committee stated the following.
Due to problems with her immigration documents, totally unrelated to the Lucha Libre World Cup organization, wrestler Christi Jaynes Mo will not participate in the 2023 edition to be held at Estadio Panamericano de los Charros on March 19.
The Organizing Committee is working on the process to select and approve the wrestler who will represent the delegation from the rest of the world along with Taya (Valkyrie) and Natalia Markova.
