WWE RAW (3/6/23) Results: John Cena Returns, Logan Paul Appears, And More

- Seth Rollins and Logan Paul meet face-to-face
- Non-Title: Bianca Belair vs. Carmella
- Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano
- Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa
- Sami Zayn vs. Jimmy Uso
– Paul Heyman kicks off the show backstage by recapping the end of the most recent episode of SmackDown and saying that Solo Sikoa would be taking care of the Kevin Owens problem while Jimmy Uso would be taking care of the Sami Zayn problem.
Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa
A back-and-forth encounter. Kevin Owens starts the match hot, getting the better of Sikoa heading into the first commercial break of the evening. Back from break, Sikoa has taken over. Eventually, kevin Owens hits a Swanton Bomb, and Jimmy Uso hits the ring to make sure the referee doesn’t count to three.
Winner: Kevin Owens by disqualification.
– The Bloodline beat up Kevin Owens after the match. Sami Zayn comes to the rescue before Kevin Owens is put through the announce table. Sami Zayn extends the Olive Branch to Kevin Owens, but Kevin Owens declines and exits the ring on his own.
– A recap is shown of what happened when Bobby Lashley went to SmackDown. Bobby Lashley cuts a promo backstage. Lastly wants to know what it will take for Bray Wyatt to face him like a man. Meanwhile, in the background, Bray Wyatt’s logo flashed in the background.
– In an interview with Byron Saxton, Carmella is complaining that Adam Pearce hasn’t made an amendment to her match with Bianca Belair that says if she wins, she’ll be added to the WWE Raw Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania. Chelsea Green comes into the frame and says that after she wins her match against Bianca, they will go complain to Adam Pearce’s manager together. Carmella says that Chelsea should come to the ring with her. That match is next.
Bianca Belair vs. Carmella (w/ Chelsea Green)
Throughout the match, Bianca Belair is trying to neutralize the interference of Chelsea Green. Bianca’s able to throw Chelsea Green out of the ring and then, on the outside, throw her over the barricade. Carmella tries to get a roll-up victory with her feet on the ropes. Bianca kicks out and hits the KOD for the victory.
Winner: Bianca Belair by pinfall.
After the match, Chelsea and Carmella tried to attack Bianca. Asuka emerges and sprays blue mist in Chelsea Green’s face before giving Bianca a look of respect.
– Sami Zayn tells Kevin Owens backstage that they must work together to take down The Bloodline. Kevin remind Sami that he betrayed him at Survivor Series in this very arena. Kevin says that he doesn’t care what Zayn does moving forward and even suggest that he begs Roman Reigns for forgiveness. No matter what, Kevin doesn’t want to work with him.
The Miz is moderating the face-to-face between Logan Paul and Seth Rollins. Boston treats Seth Rollins as the babyface and Logan Paul as the heel.
Seth Rollins and Logan Paul meet face-to-face.
Logan Paul says that Seth Rollins hates him because he’s simply better at Seth Rollins’ job. Seth Rollins says Logan Paul is a coward, a fraud, and a human dumpster fire, and nobody wants him in WWE. Seth Rollins wants to get physical with Logan tonight. Logan makes the challenge for WrestleMania, saying he doesn’t fight for free after The Miz stops them from fighting. The Miz says he can make the match as the host of WrestleMania. Seth Rollins dumps him from the ring. Logan and Seth start fighting. Logan knocks out Seth Rollins after The Miz’s distraction.
– A recap is shown of Brock Lesnar F-5ing MVP. Omos vs. Dolph Ziggler is next.
Omos vs. Dolph Ziggler
Mustafa Ali is in the crowd cheering for Ziggler. Earlier today, instead of giving Ziggler a rematch with him, he got Ziggler a match with Omos. Mustafa Ali distracts Dolph Ziggler. Omos hits a Big Boot and Chokebomb for the win.
Winner: Omos by pinfall
– MVP says Omos’ size is all the hype that he needs and he promises Brock Lesnar will be tamed at WrestleMania.
Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano
Johnny Gargano is taking control early on and hits a suicide dive on Finn Balor. Johnny also hits his middle rope Spear Finn Balor eventually takes control and goes for the Coup de Grace. Edge comes out, pushes Balor off the top rope, Johnny Gargano hits one final beat for the victory.
Winner: Johnny Gargano by pinfall.
– Edge spears Finn Balor.
– A recap is shown of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns’ from Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
Nikki Cross vs. Piper Niven
Nikki Cross attacks Piper early on, but Piper quickly gets the victory with the Black Hole Slam.
Winner: Piper Niven by pinfall.
– Edge says he will be in the ring next week to confront Finn Balor once and for all.
– John Cena comes out and is immediately interrupted by Austin Theory. Theory challenges John Cena to a match at WrestleMania for the WWE United States Championship, and John Cena declines. John Cena would then roast Austin Theory on the mic and tell him he’s not ready. However, because the people want to see him wrestle John Cena agrees to face Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania. John Cena then brings out Cody Rhodes to endorse him going into the main event of WrestleMania.
– Backstage, Elias tells Rick Boogs he needs to grab his opportunities by the throat and wants him to go up to Bronson Reed and say that he wants to fight. Boogs goes up to Bronson and says that Elias wants to fight him. They will fight next week.
Chad Gable (w/Otis) vs. Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin’s string of bad luck continues as Chad Gable taps Baron out quickly to the Ankle Lock.
Winner: Chad Gable by submission
– Cathy Kelley catches up to Sami Zayn, who promises that it won’t be Jimmy Uso’s night.
– Becky Lynch comes out with Lita. They invite Trish Stratus to the ring. Trish says she warned Bailey months ago that she would eventually come around to shut her up. Damage CTRL comes out. Trish Stratus challenges Bayley to a Trios Match at WrestleMania. Bayley agrees and then gets beat up by the babyfaces.
Sami Zayn vs. Jimmy Uso
Sami Zayn jumps jimmy as soon as the bell rings. The action quickly goes to the floor. Sikoa tries to Samoan Spike Zayn, but the referee catches him. The referee ejects Sikoa from ringside. As Jimmy is distracted, Zayn hits a blue thunder bomb. Jimmy kicks out. After a final commercial break, Zayn gets hit with a Superkick as he is flying off the top rope. Jey Uso appears and while Jimmy is distracted, Zayn tries to hit him with a Helluva Kick, which Jimmy avoids but gets rolled up for a Zayn victory.
Winner: Sami Zayn by pinfall.
– After the match, Jey confronts his brother and appears as though he wants to rip the bloodline shirt from Jimmy’s body. Jey leaves Jimmy, goes outside, and hugs Sami Zayn saying that he trusts him. Sami Zayn tries to tell Jimmy it’s not too late, and Jey Uso Superkicks Sami Zayn and throws him in the ring for a Bloodline beatdown, which is stopped by Cody Rhodes, as the sons of Rikishi exit the ring to close the show.
