Tony Khan On Kenny Omega: I Hope He’s Here For A Very Long Time

Tony Khan has high praise for Kenny Omega.

Kenny Omega is considered to be one of the founding fathers of All Elite Wrestling. Throughout his time with the promotion, Omega has won every belt that the promotion has to offer, aside from the recently introduced All-Atlantic Championship and the TNT Championship.

Recently, Fightful Select reported that many in WWE feel like they have a chance to pry Kenny Omega away from AEW if he chooses to leave the company when his deal expires. At the Revolution post-show media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about the reports floating around about Omega, to which he noted that he hopes ‘The Cleaner’ is with AEW for a very long time.

“I think Kenny Omega’s one of the best wrestlers in AEW history. He’s one of the most decorated wrestlers. To have somebody who’s been World Trios Champion and had a great match defending that title tonight, World Tag Team Champion and the World Champion, he’s done everything you can do as a world champion in this company, and also the IWGP US Champion. This year alone, he’s had some of the best matches in the world. I thought it was an excellent match at the pay-per-view tonight. He started the year with a great match in Tokyo versus Will Ospreay at Wrestle Kingdom. Kenny Omega can do anything he sets his mind to. He’s one of the best stars in the world, and I hope he’s here for a very long time.”

While appearing on The Sessions with Renee Paquette back in February, Omega said that he doesn’t have many goals or aspirations of his own and noted that he wants to focus on helping the new generation of performers. To learn more, click here.
