Keith Lee: I’m More Than Capable Of Being AEW’s First Black World Champion

Keith Lee believes in his talent.

Keith Lee has been in All Elite Wrestling for just over a full year now, and many fans would consider Lee’s first year with the promotion to be a success. Along with holding the AEW World Tag Team Championships for 70 days, Keith Lee is also undefeated in singles action with a 7-0 record.

Lee is currently in the midst of a feud with his former tag team partner, Swerve Strickland. Although it has yet to be confirmed by the company, many fans expect Lee and Strickland to face off in some capacity at Sunday’s Revolution pay-per-view.

Despite the fact that he’s dealing with Strickland at the moment, The ‘Limitless’ one knows his worth and is keeping gold in the forefront of his mind. In a new interview with The Masked Man Show, Lee said that he wants to be the top guy in AEW and that is end goal is to eventually become the company’s first black World Champion.

“Oh, I mean, let’s be honest here. Any place or any time that an individual goes to a company, it doesn’t have to be sports related or physical, When you go somewhere, most people [have goals or ambitions] of being that number one talent, that number one person, that number one mine, whatever it may be. The end goal is obviously to become AEW World Heavyweight Champion, and let’s be honest, I’m really good at making history. I would be [AEW’s first] black World Heavyweight Champion. I’m more than capable of doing that, I’m more than capable of carrying myself in a way that would be fitting and beneficial to a company.”

In the past, Keith Lee has held world championships in WWE NXT, PWG, and VIP Wrestling.
