Beth Phoenix Comments On Potential WrestleMania 39 Match
Beth Phoenix returned to the ring at WWE Elimination Chamber, teaming with her husband Edge to defeat Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley.
Ripley is set to challenge Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 while Balor and Edge continued their feud on Monday’s WWE Raw with Balor costing Edge the WWE United States Championship.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Beth was asked if she had any plans for WrestleMania 39.
“I’ll be at WrestleMania. I’m sure Adam [Edge] will be factored and featured in. I’ll be there to enjoy. Whatever it is, I can say with all my heart, he and I don’t look too far ahead. We don’t have any plans, ‘this is going to be the retirement.’ We’re just taking it one day at a time. When these little opportunities pop up, we’re just like, ‘hell yeah.’ We don’t know what tomorrow brings and our kids are old enough now that they can process mom and dad squeezing this for every last drop. That’s fun. It’s been really fun to do this as a family. They’re in elementary school, so the kids know what our jobs are and they’re watching the match,” she said.
Phoenix noted that she didn’t want to put limits on her children and that she would be attending her daughter’s career day on Friday.
Edge has not been confirmed for a match at WrestleMania 39. Fans can check out the current lineup for the show by clicking here.
