Matt Hardy: It’s Been A Blast Working With Ethan Page, The Next Few Weeks Are Going To Be Very Fun
Matt Hardy is enjoying his current run in AEW.
Throughout recent months, Matt Hardy has been involved in a story with Ethan Page and The Firm. Hardy and Isiah Kassidy are technically members of The Firm, as the group bought out the duo’s contracts. Although the story is mostly playing out on episodes of Dark and Dark: Elevation, many fans have praised both Hardy and Page for having one of the better stories in AEW as of late.
On the latest edition of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy praised the story and gave some insight into a recent segment that was transitioned from Dynamite to Elevation.
“I am heavily enjoying this whole scenario going on with Ethan Page. Just to clarify, we were going to do something where myself and Ethan Page had a conversation. Myself and Ethan were gonna walk off happy and then the Stokely-Hook thing was going to happen, which actually was on Dynamite. They separated it because they felt that [us leaving Stokely] was weird, and I did in some ways too. [We chose] to put it on Elevation, that way we can take all the time we want and we don’t have any parameters when it comes to time. That was something that was nice too. To do and portray the story, I [think] we would have needed more time than 60 seconds or 80 seconds or whatever. I feel like that was a very important part of our story going forward, that we are very much on the same page. It’s been a blast working with Ethan Page and these next few weeks are going to be very very fun.”
In a exclusive report back in December, Fightful Select revealed that Page and Hardy have came up with most of the storyline themselves. To learn more, click here.
Earlier this month, Hardy discussed a recent trios match that he was in on the February 3 episode of Rampage. Click here to learn more.
