CM Punk found himself in a verbal spat with a cast member on an MTV reality show.
On a recent episode of MTV’s “The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros.” Punk and cast member Johnny Bananas had an incident on air that saw Bananas question Punk’s success as a wrestler and as a mixed martial artist. Punk lost a challenge and was then covered in ketchup and mustard. Punk’s comment that he would simply live on fight another day prompted Bananas to say the following:
"I'll tell you what I don't do, I don't go to the UFC and get my ass whipped, that's what I don't do," Bananas told Punk.
In response, Punk told Bananas, "I was going to either win gloriously or die a glorious death, and that's something that someone like you is never going to understand because they wouldn't let you in because no one would pay a dime to see your ass."
Bananas then responded by telling Punk to keep doing what he has been doing because it has not gotten him anywhere.
"I get it that that's your persona in life and it's got you nowhere in life, so keep it up dude," Bananas said. "You couldn't make it in wrestling, you got your ass handed to you in MMA and now you're trying to make it at this!"
Punk has not fought since losing to Mickey Gall at UFC 203. The video of the incident can be viewed below:
