In a tweet on February 14, IMPACT Wrestling announced that Kazarian will face Kon of The Design at the event on February 24. The match comes after Kazarian got into a confrontation with The Design (Kon, Angels & Deaner) on the February 9 episode of IMPACT Wrestling.
Kazarian and Kon both recently signed with IMPACT Wrestling. Kazarian returned to the company at IMPACT Hard To KIll 2023 and revealed that he agreed to a long-term deal. Meanwhile, after he initially debuted in February 2022, Kon later made his return in November and joined The Design (Deaner and Angels). The group included Eric Young at the time, but he left the promotion a few weeks later. IMPACT later announced that Kon signed a multi-year contract.
