Official UFC Hospital Announced
First the UFC created a performance institute and now the promotion has an official hospital to provide top quality health care to their fighters.
The New York based Hospital For Special Surgery (HSS) has been announced as the official hospital for the UFC.
“We are excited to partner with a world-class medical provider of HSS’ caliber. The health and safety of UFC athletes is our top priority, and this partnership further extends the best-in-class services available to the athletes both in and out of the Octagon,” says UFC Chief Operating Officer Ike Lawrence Epstein to UFC.com.
HSS has been active for over 150 years now, and has regularly received high rankings for its work in orthopedics and rheumatology.
Outside of being the official UFC hospital, the HSS has also been designated as the National Medical Center for the United States Olympic Committee and the FIFA Medical Center Of Excellence.
“HSS’ purpose is to help people get back to what they need and love to do, better than any other place in the world,” said Louis A. Shapiro, HSS President and Chief Executive. “We are privileged to now support UFC as we do other high performing athletic organizations including the Brooklyn Nets, New York Giants, New York Knicks, New York Mets, New York Red Bulls, New York Road Runners and many others.”
Besides just being the official hospital of the UFC, the HSS will get advertising on the UFC Octagon on select events, plus digital and social media advertising from the UFC as well.
