Jade Cargill: I Believe It’s Time For Me To Start Having Storylines With Top Stars Like Britt Baker
Jade Cargill says she’s ready to start facing stars like Britt Baker and Saraya.
Jade Cargill eventually wants to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship, but she’s ready to face stars like Britt Baker now.
Cargill made her AEW debut in 2020, and she was initially involved in Cody Rhodes’ feud with Shaquille O’Neal. In her first match, she teamed up with the NBA legend to defeat Rhodes and Red Velvet on the March 3, 2021, episode of AEW Dynamite. Cargill continued to compete, and she picked up a number of victories to start her winning streak.
In 2022, she became the inaugural TBS Champion by defeating Ruby Soho on the January 5 episode of AEW Dynamite. Cargill has continued to defeat any and all comers; she picked up her fiftieth win by beating Red Velvet on the February 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. Still, the TBS Championship isn’t the only women’s title in AEW, and Cargill has her sights set on the gold.
Speaking with Liam Crowley of ComicBook.com, Cargill expressed her interest in eventually challenging for the AEW Women’s World Championship. She noted that she’s simply giving
“I’m just going to give these ladies some time before I want to go for the big belt. That’s something that I want to accomplish. I want to go for the main belt, I know that’s for sure,” Cargill said.
Cargill also made it clear that she wants to work with stars like Britt Baker, Saraya, and Toni Storm at some point. She shared her belief that it’s time for her to mix it up with the top-level talent, including Hayter, as she is confident that she has the charisma that’s needed in order to do so. Cargill stated that the combination of her look, work, and her aura speaks for itself.
“I wouldn’t say so soon because right now I’m just focused on getting reps and getting better. Having longer matches, better feuds, and actual storylines. However, I believe it’s time for me to start having storylines with a Britt Baker, or Jamie Hayter, or a Saraya, or Toni Storm and working those storylines. I know I can do it. I have the charisma to do it. If you stand me next to any of these ladies, the work, the look and the aura of who I am speaks for itself,” Cargill said.
Cargill previously commented on her brief storyline with Bow Wow. Click here to see what she had to say.
