Kofi Kingston: I Have No Idea If And When The New Day Pod Will Come Back, Hopefully It Does

Kofi Kingston would love to see the return of The New Day’s podcast.

The New Day: Feel The Power was a podcast featuring the members of New Day, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E, hosting interviews, hosting tournaments, but most importantly, goofing around with one another.

The podcast has yet to host a new episode since September 2021. The podcast’s final episode features the group celebrating Big E winning the WWE Championship from Bobby Lashley. The podcast feed continues to drop “Best Of” episodes weekly.

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp, Kofi Kingston says he would love to see a podcast return but is currently uncertain when or if that may happen. Regardless, whenever it does, he hopes that people remain as excited about the podcast as they are today.

“It’s really awesome, too, to see people still care about the New Day Pod,” said Kofi. “We’re trying to figure out how we can get it going again, but it’s kind of a one-day-at-a-time kind of thing. Hopefully, one day it comes back, but it’s good to hear on a weekly basis that people are still interested in it. Any time somebody posts clips, there’s so many comments about how people miss the New Day Pod. I think if we were to do it again, we’d want to make sure we had video footage and documentation. Obviously, with the pandemic, it was all Zoom, which was cool, but I think the magic comes when all three of us are together, you know what I’m saying?”

Kofi Kingston also reflected on how the podcast gave the group a chance to catch up, which he would enjoy considering that Big E is still on the injured reserve list.

“Then, for us, too, it gives us a chance to catch up and talk. Especially now that E’s not on the road. We text all the time. Really, every single day. But to be in person is just different, you know what I mean? Hopefully, one day soon. A long-winded way of saying, ‘I have no idea if and when the New Day Pod will come back,’ but hopefully, it does, and people will still be as interested as they are now,” he said.

Dan Ryckert was the producer of the podcast. The podcast ended after he was let go from WWE. He has spoken about his time with WWE on Twitch streams. Fans can read some of his comments at this link.

Big E, who suffered a broken neck in March of 2022, has stated that he has been cleared to live “a normal life” but still needs more scans to be cleared for in-ring action.
