(#2) Glover Teixeira vs. (#7) Jamahal Hill — UFC Light Heavyweight Championship
Round One – Glover feints a takedown right away but backs off. Glover dives down this time but Hill holds firm and shoves Glover back. Hill lands a knee to the body, then a side kick to the body. Glover lands a straight right to the body then goes for a level change but Hill shoves him back once again. Glover goes for yet another takedown but Hill is alert and pushes the former champion back for a fourth time. Hill lands a calf kick, then a straight left, and a front kick to the body. Glover goes for and can’t get a fifth takedown and Hill comes up the middle with another front kick to the body. Hill with another body kick and cracks Glover with a right hook. Glover with another takedown attempt but Hill pushes him back and peppers the jab. Hill lands a 1-2, then a right hook, then another 1-2. Glover lands a right hook, Hill comes back with a knee to the body, then a pair of body kicks that both land. Glover just misses a 1-2 but lands a left hook. Glover lets off a bevy of punches, Hill avoids any damage and laughs off Glover’s attempts. Glover accidentally pokes Hill in the eye and referee Marc Goddard temporarily pauses the fight. Hill takes just a few seconds to recover and gives the OK to Goddard and this one is back underway. Hill lands right hook and Glover’s nose is starting to leak some blood. Hill lands a 1-2, Glover rips a right hook to the body and Hill lands a low kick. Glover lands a left hook, Hill just misses a right hook and the horn sounds to end an eventful opening frame.

Round Two – Hill pops the jab to open round number two. Hill just misses a right hook, Glover lands a knee to the body, and Glover lands a low kick. Hill lands a pair of kicks to Glover’s lead leg and accidentally pokes Glover in the eye. Referee Marc Goddard pauses the bout and gives Glover some time to recover and Glover gives the OK to get this one back underway. Glover tells Hill it’s 1-1 with eye pokes, they touch gloves and we’re back to the action. Hill cracks Glover with a high kick, then another, and a third head kick lands for Hill and Glover is hurt! Glover retreats to the fence, Hill starts unloading shots, Glover fights back and cracks Hill with a left hook, then an overhand right and now Hill is hurt! What a sequence! Hill lands another high kick and Glover’s face is busted open after all these head kicks. Glover dives in and this time he gets the fight to the mat. Hill scoots to the fence, Glover starts laying into Hill with punches, Hill rolls, then quickly rolls right back to his back to avoid giving up his neck. Glover ends up with top control and looks for the arm triangle but Hill defends well for the time being. Hill gets to the fence and Hill’s right eye is busted open badly as well. Hill scrambles and gets back up to his feet and circles back to the center of the octagon. Hill has a high kick blocked but cracks Glover with a straight right hand. Glover whiffs on a left hook then goes for a takedown but Hill shoves him aside. Glover lands a left hook, Hill pops the jab, then lands a 1-2 at the horn and an absolutely action packed second round comes to a close.

Round Three – Both men get off their stool a cut up, swollen, blood mess after just two of a possible five round title bout. Glover immediately goes for a takedown, Hill backs up to the fence, Glover tries to lift him but Hill circles and ends up with control along the fence. Hill backs off and lands a pair of jabs. Hill continues to pop the jab then wallops Glover with a right hook. Hill continues to work the jab then wobbles Glover with a head kick and Glover is down! Hill jumps on top and starts firing down ground and pound! Glover scrambles, Hill continues the barrage, Glover’s still scrambling, Hill jumps down in top control and starts reigning down more shots! Glover rolls, Hill remains patient and lands an elbow from the top, Glover up kicks, Hill jumps down and lays into Glover with another pair of shots, Glover pushes forward, Hill teases a choke but backs off and allows Glover back to his feet. Glover goes for a takedown, Hill pushes him back and lands a front kick to the body. Hill lands a straight right, and Glover lands a counter right hook. Hill partially lands another head kick, Glover whiffs on a left hook but lands a left hook to the body then another one but this time upstairs. Glover lands a 1-2, Hill lands a right hook, Glover pops the jab, then a right hook. Hill with a 1-2, then a knee stuns Glover and a right hook but the horn sounds and this one is somehow headed to the championship rounds!

Round Four – Glover has a massive gash above his right eye and referee Marc Goddard warns him to defend himself or he’ll step in. Hill works the jab to start. Hill lands another head kick, then a knee to the face and Glover desperately latches on with the clinch. Hill is backed up to the fence but he reverses position, breaks free, and circles back to the center of the cage. Hill lands yet another head kick, then a 1-2, then another head kick and it’s a miracle that Glover is even standing at this point. Hill lands a right hook, then a 1-2, then a front kick to the body. Glover whiffs on a hail mary overhand right, Hill lands a head kick, Glover lands a left hook out of nowhere and Hill backs off for a moment to regroup. Glover is whiping blood from his eyes every few seconds and commentary says that there is blood all over their desk at cageside. Glover rips a left hook to the body, then a straight left back up top also lands for the former champion. Hill lands a 1-2, then a right hook, then a left hook, Glover backs up to the fence, referee Marc Goddard shouts at Glover to defend himself, Hill lands a bevy of shots, then a knee to the face, then a 1-2, then a left hook. Glover is a zombie! Hill starts ripping knees to the body, Glover shoves Hill to the fence, Hill walks Glover back down and pops the jab, then a knee to the body and a left hook and the buzzer sounds to somehow end the fourth round! Glover Teixeira simply isn’t human!

Round Five – Between rounds, Glover’s corner is split on stopping the fight or not but they appear to give Glover the OK to continue. Referee Marc Goddard calls for the ringside physician to check on Glover. The doctor gives the OK and the fifth and final round is somehow underway. Commentary says that their paperwork, phones, and monitors are drenched in blood at cageside. Glover dives in for a takedown and gets Hill to the mat! Glover is on top with over four minutes to work to perhaps pull off the biggest comeback in UFC title bout history! Glover transitions to side control, Hill scrambles but Glover holds firm and keeps this one on the mat for the time being. Glover lands a short punch, then an elbow. Glover tries to pass to mount and gets it! Glover starts reigning down shots but Hill pops through the back and sweeps to top control! What a sweep by Hill! Glover is active from the back, knowing he needs a finish to somehow pull this one out but Hill starts slicing elbows across the former champion’s nose as the clock trickles under two minutes remaining. Hill gets to side control and lands some elbows to the body. Glover slips under Hill and gets back to his feet with one minute remaining! Hill with a 1-2, Glover whiffs on a left hook, Hill partially lands a high kick, Glover rushes in with a 1-2 but it’s mostly blocked. Glover waves Hill forward for the final 10 seconds but Hill is in no rush to take any chances and the buzzer sounds to send this one to the judge’s scorecards! What a performance by Jamahal Hill and what heart by the former champion and 43-year-old legend Glover Teixeira!

Deiveson Figueiredo (C) vs. (#1) Brandon Moreno — UFC Flyweight Championship
Round One – Figueiredo whiffs on an uppercut and Moreno lands a perfectly timed takedown less than 20 seconds into the bout. Moreno has top control, Figueiredo has Moreno’s neck but the challenger isn’t in any real danger as of this moment. Figueiredo loosens the hold and Moreno pops back up to his feet. Moreno just misses on an overhand right. Moreno lands a 1-2 but the champion rips a counter right hook to the body. Moreno lands a leg kick, Figueiredo dives for a single leg but Moreno shoves him back and avoids the takedown. Moreno dives in and gets the champion down to the mat. Figueiredo locks up a heel hook out of nowhere, Moreno is struggling but rolls and breaks his leg free as the horn sounds to end an eventful opening frame.
Fightful scores this round 10-9 to Moreno.
Round Two – Moreno opens with a side kick to the body but Figueiredo catches the leg and shoves Moreno down to the mat for a slick takedown. The champion lands a hard right hook to a downed Moreno, as the challenger starts kicking Figueiredo back and the champion has to allow Moreno back to his feet to avoid anymore up kicks. Moreno lands a 1-2, then another as a slight cut opens up on the champion’s right cheek. Moreno clocks Figueiredo with a right hook but eats an uppercut from Figueiredo Figueiredo lands a low kick, then partially lands a high kick but slips to the mat before popping right back up to his feet. Moreno lands a lighting fast takedown, Figueiredo twists and ends up with top control but Moreno sweeps back up, Figueiredo leaps onto Moreno and latches onto the neck! Moreno is struggling but remains calm and breaks free from a tight hold and now has top control with 90 seconds remaining in the round. Moreno doesn’t do much from the top as referee Herb Dean warns him to start working or he’ll stand them up. Dean warns Moreno once more, Moreno obliges and lands a shot, then a heavy elbow and the buzzer sounds to end round number two.

Round Three – Figueiredo rips a right hook to the body to start round number three. Figueiredo pops the jab and Moreno cracks the champion with a counter left hook. Moreno almost falls down after whiffing on a left hook, Figueiredo lands a low kick, Moreno rocks Figueiredo with a right hook and the champion is covering up! He’s hurt bad! Moreno lands a low kick and the champion is tripped to the mat and Moreno lands on top. The broadcast announces that Moreno landed a clean punch but may have ended up with a knuckle in the champion’s eye but it was close and the punch is what hurt Figueiredo at first. Moreno starts reigning down ground and pound after referee Herb Dean warns him to start working or he’ll stand them up. Moreno starts firing off a bunch of shots, Figueiredo up kicks and Moreno drops back down on top. Figueiredo’s right eye is mangled and Moreno keeps taking aim at it. Moreno lands a slicing elbow and the horn sounds to send this one to championship rounds.

Round Four – Between rounds, referee Herb Dean calls for the ringside physician to come and take a look at Figueiredo’s right eye, which looks to be swollen completely shut. The doctor says Figueiredo can’t see and this one is waved off! What a performance from Brandon Moreno!

(#5) Gilbert Burns vs. (#12) Neil Magny
Round One – Magny opens with a front kick to the body. Burns lands a perfectly timed takedown and drags Magny to the mat with plenty of time to work. Burns gets to side control and lands some elbows to the body, transitions to top control and lands a few shots from the top. Burns uses the shots to loosen Magny up and sneaks in under the neck and locks in a head and arm choke and Magny has no choice but to tap! Statement win by Gilbert Burns!

(#5) Lauren Murphy vs. (#6) Jessica Andrade
Round One – Andrade opens with a leg kick. Andrade lands another low kick, then another, and starts letting the hands fly with a 1-2. Murphy pops the jab, Andrade goes back to the well with another low kick. Murphy shoots for a double leg but Andrade shoves her aside. Andrade with yet another low kick, Murphy tries to trip her Brazilian counterpart but to no avail. Andrade with another heavy kick to Murphy’s lead leg followed by a looping left hook. Murphy goes for another takedown and gets Andrade to the mat but Andrade quickly pops back up to her feet. Andrade goes for a head kick but whiffs on that and a follow up spinning back fist. Murphy latches on for the clinch but Andrade shoves her back and lands a 1-2. A leg kick and a right hook both land for Andrade. Andrade cracks Murphy with a right hook, Murphy dives in for another takedown but Andrade sprawls and stymies the attempt. Andrade lands a right hook, then a 1-2 and the horn sounds to end a dominant opening frame for Andrade.

Round Two – Andrade lands a side kick to the body to start. Andrade rips a right hook to the body then one upstairs and they both land. Andrade fires off a wild combination to the head and body with seemingly everything landing for the former champion. Murphy shoots for a takedown but gets drilled with an uppercut for her troubles. Murphy clinches but gets clocked with a right hook and a leg kick. Andrade just misses a spinning backfist but wallops Murphy with a crazy combination and Murphy’s nose is busted up pretty badly. Another leg kick lands for Andrade, then another, and a side kick to the body also hits it’s mark for Andrade. Murphy dives for a takedown, Andrade sprawls and grabs the neck, looking for a Von Flue choke but Murphy scoots back and gets back to her feet. Andrade lets off another lighting fast combination, with once again everything landing as she lands another lead leg kick. Andrade is landing everything, Murphy is somehow still standing and hasn’t gotten noodle legged just yet. Andrade walks Murphy down and lands a bevy of shots at the buzzer and this one is somehow headed to the third and final round.

Round Three – Murphy lands a straight left to start. Murphy dives in for a takedown but Andrade stuffs it once again. A front kick just misses for Andrade, as does a another high kick…and a third head kick attempt misses the mark as well. Andrade lands a 1-2, then another combo, then a leg kick. A left hook lands for Andrade, who clinches and has Murphy pressed against the cage. Andrade trips Murphy to the mat, Murphy looks for a hail mary kimura, Andrade defends well, backs off, and allows Murphy to her feet. Andrade is throwing absolute fire and lands a number of shots and Murphy’s face is mangled due to all the damage, thus far. Murphy misses a head kick and eats a counter 1-2 from Andrade. Murphy lands a jab, Andrade lands an uppercut, then another head and body combination, Murphy goes for a takedown, but whiffs, and eats a looping right hook from Andrade. Murphy lands a straight left, Andrade with a low kick, Murphy jabs, Andrade cracks Murphy with an uppercut, then a 1-2, and Murphy lands a straight left. Andrade lets off about 50 punches in the final 10 seconds and lands about 49 of them and the horn sounds and Lauren Murphy has somehow survived 15 minutes of absolute punishment by Jessica Andrade.

(#9) Paul Craig vs. (#12) Johnny Walker
Round One – Walker opens with a thunderous low kick. Craig lands a leg kick and Walker returns fire with a right hook and a kick to Walker’s lead leg. Walker goes for a front kick to the body, Craig catches the leg but Walker cracks him with a back hand, Craig drops to the mat, Walker wallops Craig with a right hook on the way down and lands shot after shot and referee Marc Goddard has seen enough! What a finish from Johnny Walker!
