The New Day To Defend NXT Tag Team Titles Against Gallus And Pretty Deadly At NXT Vengeance Day

The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) will defend the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Vengeance Day.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) will defend the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Vengeance Day.

As announced during the January 17 episode of NXT, the New Day will put the titles on the line in a three-way match. Kingston and Wods first noted that they were done with Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson), and they would be putting the titles on the line against Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang). Pretty Deadly interrupted and made it clear that they were still determined to get a title shot. Gallus joined the two teams, and it wasn’t long before they all brawled until officials separated them.

The broadcast team then confirmed that the New Day will defend the titles against both Gallus and Pretty Dealy at NXT Vengeance Day on February 4.

The New Day defeated Pretty Deadly to win the titles at NXT Deadline on December 10. Prety Deadly aimed to earn a title shot by winning a gauntlet match on the January 10 episode of NXT, but Gallus won the bout instead.
