Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, And Sonjay Dutt Give ‘Acceptance Speech’ After Stealing Golden Globe

Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Jeff Jarrett, and Satnam Singh shared an impromptu message after they stole a Golden Globe Award.

Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Jeff Jarrett, and Satnam Singh didn’t thank The Academy, but they had an impromptu message after they stole a Golden Globe Award.

Paul Walter Hauser, who won a Golden Globe for his role in ‘Black Bird’, appeared on the January 13 episode of AEW Rampage. He got into a confrontation with Jarrett, Lethal, Dutt, and Singh. Jarrett smashed his guitar over Hauser’s head, and though the Best Friends (Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta & Chuck Taylor) made the save, Lethal and Dutt escaped with the award.

In a video AEW shared after the show, Dutt presented the award to Lethal, and the group gave an acceptance speech. Dutt called Lethal, Jarrett and Singh the greatest wrestlers in the world. Lethal accepted the award and thanked the people he had to step on to get it. Jarrett then referenced his history with actors.

SD: Now I’d like to present the Golden Globe, the 2023 Golden Globe for the greatest professional wrestlers alive today, Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, and Satnam Singh.

JL: look at it, it’s so beautiful. Thank you, I accept this award. I just wanna thank all the little people that I had to step on to get here. This means the world to me, guys. Thank you so much.

JJ: I am so proud of you, Jay. I’m so proud of you, Sonjay. Satnam, I know you’re new to this, but I’ve been in the ring with a lot of C-list actors. Beetlejuice, Gary Coleman, but that Jonah Hill out there, that Doogie Hauser, you were over the moon. You were over the top, guys. But thanks for showing up. Jay, you gotta get off to your next presser.

Lethal joked about starting his next movie before Dutt sent a heated message to the Best Friends. He also vowed that 2023 will be their year. Lethal then declared that no one will take his award away from him.

AEW announced that Lethal will challenge Orange Cassidy for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship on the January 18 episode of AEW Dynamite. Check out the card here.
