Tournament To Earn Shot At WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles To Begin On 1/20 WWE SmackDown
The Usos will have even more challengers.
On Friday’s WWE SmackDown, Adam Pearce announced that a tournament to crown new number one contenders for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles will begin on the January 20 episode of WWE SmackDown.
The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) are the reigning Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions holding both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
Sheamus & Drew McIntyre vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) will be one of the first round matchups. That bout will take place on the January 20 episode of WWE SmackDown.
The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio) earned a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships on Monday’s WWE Raw when they won a Tag Team Turmoil bout by outlasting Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis) and Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin and The OC (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford).
