Report: Karl Fredericks Signs With WWE
A former NJPW star has inked a deal with WWE.
After being a free agent for over four months, Karl Fredericks has reportedly found a new home in the world of pro wrestling. According to a new report from PW Insider, Fredericks has officially signed with WWE and has already started at the company’s performance center. The report also states that Fredericks will be on the NXT brand.
Fredericks was first spotted at WWE’s Performance Center back in September 2022. A month prior, Fredericks noted on Twitter that his deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling had expired and confirmed that he would not be re-signing with the promotion, despite saying that he didn’t see himself going to any other company earlier that year.
Fredericks, 32, entered the NJPW LA Dojo in 2018 after beginning his career in 2015. After graduating from the Dojo, Fredericks regularly competed for the promotion’s STRONG brand that is based out of the United States. Fredericks last wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling at a May taping of STRONG, where he defeated QT Marshall in singles action.
After that bout, Fredericks only wrestled three dates for three separate independent promotions.
