Lee Johnson Working With NBA Physical Therapist Following Knee Injury

Lee Johnson was sidelined from May 2022 to October 2022 due to a knee injury.

Johnson was aligned with Brock Anderson and coached by Arn Anderson when he suffered the injury, but linked up with QT Marshall and The Factory when he returned from the sidelines. Johnson has been active on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation since returning, but has not wrestled since AEW Full Gear: Zero Hour.

Speaking on AEW Unrestricted, Johnson was asked how he’s been feeling coming off the injury.

“I feel great, honestly. It was a struggle at first because you always want to jump back into it. For me, I just didn’t want to mess myself up again. I’m really close to Jerry Lynn and he told me, ‘Don’t come back too soon. You have to make sure you’re ready.’ I really want to take the time. Satnam (Singh) had a contact, a physical therapist in the NBA. I started working with them a month ago and it feels awesome. I feel I can do anything,” he said.

Singh was drafted in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks. He never played in the NBA before making the transition to pro wrestling.

Elsewhere during the interview, Johnson looked back on Arn Anderson’s “glock” promo and how he ended up a meme. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
