M. Night Shyamalan: Dave Bautista Gives One Of The Best Performances Of 2023 In ‘Knock At The Cabin’

Dave Bautista (Batista) continues to receive praise from Hollywood.

There are only a handful of wrestlers that have been successful in their transition to the movie business following the end of their full time in-ring career. With over 80 acting credits currently listed on his IMDB page, Dave Bautista can surely be considered as a prospering wrestler turned actor.

Bautista is set to have a busy year in 2023, as the former WWE Champion has roles in movies like ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3’, ‘Knock At The Cabin’, and ‘Dune: Part Two’, all of which are currently scheduled to release this year.

In a new interview with Comicbook, M. Night Shyamalan, who is the director of ‘Knock At The Cabin’, talked about Bautista’s role in the film and how he thinks Dave gave one of the best performances of the year.

“Oh my…Bautista is, well I was at a dinner with some friends and they were like ‘How’s Dave Bautista? The wrestler, right? That’s crazy. How was that?’ I was like ‘He gave one of the best performances of the year in that movie.’ They [laughed] and I’m like ‘There’s no joke. I’m just giving you the straight on it. This dude brought it.’ Right guy, right role, right moment in his life. He did what you hope all actors do for you, which is just, he [became] completely vulnerable. [He] completely put himself in my hands and said ‘I trust you.’ Because of that, I felt so much need to bring out the beauty in who he is as a human being. Just a lovely moment.”

Bautista has been a hot topic in Hollywood recently, mainly for his role in the recent movie, ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’. Kevin Nash recently gave praise to Bautista for his performance in the film as well.

Rian Johnson, who was the director of ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’, recently said that Bautista is the greatest wrestler turned actor ever. To learn more, click here.
