WWE SmackDown

Gunther defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Ricochet. Before the bout, Adam Pearce ejected Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser from ringside. Ricochet and Gunther then threw everything they had at each other. In the end, Gunther slammed Ricochet to win the match and retain the gold. After the match, Imperium went to attack Ricochet, but Braun Strowman made the save. After the match, Ricochet received an ovation from the crowd.

– Raquel Rodriguez discussed next week’s Gauntlet Match to determine Ronda Rousey’s next challenger. Rousey and Shayna Baszler attacked her and viciously targeted her arm.

– Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Liv Morgan & Tegan Nox. Morgan lost her cool early on, as she went to hit Kai with a kendo stick, and Nox had to hold her back. Nox dove onto Damage CTRL at ringside to give the challengers some momentum. The two teams kept battling. Bayley tried to get involved, and Nox took her out. A hooded individual blasted Nox with a kick, and SKY capitalized by pinning her with a moonsault.

The mystery attacker was revealed to be Xia Li.

– A QR Code played footage of what happened to LA Knight got attacked by Bray Wyatt last week. Knight was shown tied up and strapped to a chair. Flashing back to the present, Knight came to the ring. He called out Wyatt, who came out and said he hasn’t touched him. Wyatt told Knight he was barking up the wrong tree, but Knight took the fight to bim anyway. Uncle Howdy interrupted by popping up on the video screen. Howdy then came to the stage, proving that he wasn’t Wyatt. Howdy laughed, and Knight left the ring. Wyatt looked around in confusion. 

– Sami Zayn and The Usos prepared for the return of Roman Reigns. Later on, Jey Uso expressed his hope that Reigns will make Zayn a full-fledged Uce. Jey asked Reigns about the plan in another segment, as he brought up Zayn’s history with Kevin Owens. Reigns than summoned Adam Pearce, and Paul Heyman pitched a major tag team match; Reigns and Zayn will face Kevin Owens and a partner of his choosing.

– In the show-closing segment, The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, Solo Sikoa & Paul Heyman) came to the ring. Reigns discussed the group’s Kevin Owens problem, and Zayn got himself into hot water by referring to Owens as Zayn’s friend. John Cena appeared on the video screen and announced that he will be Owens’ partner for the tag team match.

A video package hyped up Gunther’s reign as the WWE Intercontinental Champion and his match against Ricochet. Another video highlighted Ricochet’s journey to the match.

– Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) faced Hit Row (Ashante “Thee” Adonis & Top Dolla) and Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar).Zelina Vega, B-Fab, and Valhalla all got involved and took each other out. In the end, Hit Row scored the win with the Heavy Hitter. In doing so, Hit Row earned a shot at the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

Top Dolla tweeted an update after his legs gave out during his match.

AEW Rampage

– Jon Moxley battled Sammy Guevara, who was accompanied to the ring by Tay Melo. The former TNT Champion ripped Moxley’s earring out, and Melo targeted the bloody wound. Guevara took to the skies and hit a senton bomb through a table. In the end, Moxley scored the win with the Bulldog Choke.

– Moxley then then called out Hangman Page, leading to a brawl between the two stars. Security guards tried to break them up, and Page took one out with the Buckshot Lariat. The fight continued as officials struggled to separate the rivals. 

– FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) came to the ring, feeling disappointed after their loss at ROH Final Battle. Harwood noted that he broke his “ass bone” at Final Battle. They looked back on their remarkable year and turned their attention to The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn), who attacked them at the pay-per-view. They vowed to get revenge on Dynamite.

– In an interview, Preston Vance explained why he turned on Dark Order. He said La Faccion Ingobernable, unlike Dark Order, is on his level. He addressed Brodie Lee Jr.’s loss of his father before he called the boy a snot-nosed brat. Vance then told Brodie Lee Jr to grow up.

– Wardlow picked up a dominant win against Exodus Prime. He then called out Samoa Joe and made it clear that he’s tired of waiting. The TNT Champion agreed to give Wardlow a title shot on the December 28 episode of AEW Dynamite.

– In a promo, Saraya previewed the title match between Jamie Hayter and Hikaru Shida. She said she’s coming for the championship. Saraya also teased that there are plenty of stars she can choose to be her partner for the tag team match against Hayter and Britt Baker on January 11.

– In a promo, Jade Cargill sent a message to Bow Wow and warned him that her lawyer, Mark Sterling, will get involved next time he tries to send her a message.

– Britt Baker defeated Skye Blue, She refused to let go of the Lockjaw, but Hikaru Shida made the save. She then stared down Hayter ahead of their title match on Dynamite. 

– Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Dustin Rhodes defeated Kip Sabian, Trent Seven, The Butcher, and The Blade.
