Shawn Michaels On Triple H: He’s Been So Busy, I’m Very Fortunate That He Trusts Me

Shawn Michaels pulls the curtain back on his current relationship with Triple H.

The NXT brand has been led by Shawn Michaels for over a year now. Throughout that time, the brand has experienced success in both television ratings and live event attendance, despite also drawing some fan criticism about the creative product.

On the recent NXT Deadline Media Call, Shawn Michaels was asked about Triple H and if he has any complaints about the current NXT product.

“He’s letting me do my thing. We finally text the other day and were just talking about that. We kind of just miss not being able to hang out anymore. That was the great thing about him being here on a regular basis. There is this whole friendship thing that sort of has to take a backseat to all of this. Right now, I’m very fortunate that he trusts me. There has been almost no communication over the last several weeks. He’s been so busy and has so much going on, I don’t want to add any problems to it. If there is something urgent that I feel like we need or a question that I need answered, I know he’ll give me that, but right now, we’re rolling what we feel like is pretty good down here. We understand what they want from us and from the talent. To me, I always feel like no news is good news and if nobody is calling me, and I’m not bothering them, I feel every body is happy with what’s going on. Right now, the only complains he and I have are honestly, not having a lot of time to catch up.”
