Kaun: Shane Taylor Promotions Made Six-Man Wrestling Relevant Again
Kaun praises Shane Taylor Promotions.
Before Kaun was aligned with Toa Liona & Brian Cage in the Embassy, he was part of Shane Taylor Promotions alongside Shane Taylor & Moses. The trio held the ROH Six-Man Titles for nearly 300 days during the pandemic era before the reign ended at ROH Final Battle 2021.
Speaking on MCW Backstage Pass, Kaun reflected on Shane Taylor Promotions.
“Myself, Moses, and Shane Taylor made six-man wrestling relevant again by a historic six-man title reign with the Ring of Honor six-man championships. Undefeated until the very end. Greatest six-man unit of all-time. They’ve never seen anybody like us before. We made six-mans relevant again. AEW has their own Trios Titles, I think it’s all because of what we did,” he said.
AEW Trios Titles were officially introduced in July with a tournament, which was won by The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks), to crown the first-ever champions.
Speaking about his time in AEW, Kaun said, “Back in February, myself and Toa got signed and the plans laid out for us. Brian Cage involved. Some shuffling happened with TBE [Tully Blanchard Enterprises], (Jonathan) Gresham and Tully, eventually Prince Nana used his riches to buy TBE and we became the new Embassy. Since then, got opportunities to face Wardlow for the TNT Title with Brian Cage, we faced FTR.”
Kaun most recently competed on the November 14 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, teaming with Toa Liona to defeat Big Cuzzo & Teddy Goodz.
The next ROH event, ROH Final Battle, is scheduled for December 10. Fans can keep up with the lineup for the event by clicking here.
