WWE 205 Live Results 5/9 Neville & TJ Perkins VS Austin Aries & Jack Gallagher & More!
This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight’s episode of WWE 205 Live! Tonight in our main event Neville will team up with TJ Perkins to take on Austin Aries and Jack Gallagher! We also have Mustafa Ali finally getting his hands on Drew Gulak and much more so be sure to come back here at 10 PM EST for all of the action!
-Jack Gallagher comes out to start the show and introduces Austin Aries after talking about helping him after his match with TJ Perkins last night. Jack says he’s there to toast Austin, but Austin says that he didn’t need all of the pomp and circumstance. Jack says Austin is just being humble and that honor dictates that Austin makes it to his title match at Backlash in one piece. Jack gets two glasses of beer and they toast before Neville comes out to the ramp. Neville says that it’s pathetic and that Jack is a symptom of a much larger problem and that England has become a parody of itself.
Neville asks if they lost their dignity before Aries says he’s got no leg to stand on after getting himself intentionally disqualified to keep his belt. Neville then toasts Aries before TJ Perkins attacks them from behind. Jack dropkicks TJ, then sends Neville out of the ring with a European uppercut before Neville sends Jack into the barricade. Aries sends both TJ and Neville into the barricade before sending Neville over the announce table and diving after him. Jack and TJ get back in the ring and Jack hits TJ with a series of headbutts before Neville superkicks him, then Aries hits a Discus Fivearm that sends him out of the ring.
They then finish their toast as we go to commercial.
Mustafa Ali vs Tony Nese
Nese plays to the crowd before they pick up for a clean break, then Nese takes Ali down before Ali gets out of a head scissor only for Nese to put him in a side headlock. Ali gets out of it, but Nese drops him, then Ali does several flips before hitting a series of arm drags into an octopus stretch. Ali rolls Nese up for a quick two count, then Nese drops him with a knee to the gut before Ali dropkicks him. Nese retreats to the outside, then Ali hits a front flip seated senton that sends Near to the floor. Ali rolls Nese back in the ring, but Nese rolls out of the other side before Nese sends him into the barricade, then trips him when he goes for a moonsault off of it.
Nese drops Ali onto the announce table, then rolls him back in the ring for a quick two count before Ali counters a suplex with a roll up only for Nese to turn him inside out with a lariat. Nese hits a dead lift suplex before dropping Ali across the ropes for a near fall, then puts him in a torture rack. Ali gets out of it, then Nese hits a moonsault for a near fall, then beats on Ali in mount. Ali dropkicks Nese on the top rope, then Ali hits a frankensteiner before Ali hits a series of forearms and a leg lariat. Ali hits an enzuigiri, then follows job with a rolling neckbreaker into a running huricanrrana off of the apron.
They get back in the ring and Ali hits a diving cross body off of the top rope for a near fall. They exchange chops once they’re back in the ring, then Ali rolls Nese up for a near fall before Nese comes back with a series of strikes and a jumping double foot stomp for another near fall. Nese goes for a pump handle slam, but Ali counters into a tornado DDT before Ali hits the inverted 450 splash for the pin and the win.
Winner: Mustafa Ali via pinfall
Akira Tozawa vs The Brian Kendrick
They brawl as soon as the match starts with a series of strikes, then Tozawa drops Kendrick with a right hand that sends him out into the apron. Tozawa hits a PK and a high angle senton for a quick two count before beating on him at ringside. Kendrick sends Tozawa into the announce table, then Kendrick hits a Sliced Bread #2 using the steps on the floor. Tozawa gets back in the ring at the count of nine, but Kendrick stomps on him as soon as he does before hitting a float over suplex for a quick two count. Kendrick keeps the high flying Tozawa grounded with a cross face before Tozawa powers out of it. They exchange forearms, then Tozawa hits a huricanrrana that sends Kendrick out of the ring before diving out onto him. Tozawa hits a leg lariat, then a shining wizard for a near fall before Kendrick catches him coming in with a leg lariat, following up with a dragon suplex with a bridge for a near fall. Kendrick licks in the Captain’s Hook, but Tozawa gets out of it and hits a Saito suplex before missing a senton off of the top rope. Kendrick hits another Sliced Bread #2, but Tozawa rolls him up for the pin and the win.
Winner: Akira Tozawa via pinfall
-After the match Kendrick beats on Tozawa at ringside before sending him into the steps repeatedly, then says that this is the last lesson he’ll teach him before leaving.
