Steve Maclin: You Would Think Winning Matches Gets You A Title Shot, It Doesn’t Seem To Be Working

Steve Maclin wants his title shot.

Maclin may not have won the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at IMPACT Bound For Glory, but he has picked up a singles victory over Moose on the October 6 episode of IMPACT and a triple threat victory over Moose and Sami Callihan at IMPACT Victory Road.

Maclin believes the next step for him is to face Josh Alexander and challenge for the IMPACT World Championship.

“I’m gunning for Josh Alexander at IMPACT, he’s the World Champion. He has a big match coming up at Over Drive,” Maclin said on the Undisputed podcast with Bobby Fish

When asked when he’ll be facing Alexander, Maclin replied, “I don’t know, that’s up to Scott D’Amore to make that match. I’ve been beating all these former World Champions and everybody just keeps waltzing in and gets their shot. You would think after you would win matches, you would eventually get a title shot. It doesn’t seem to be working that way right now.”

Maclin is not currently booked for IMPACT Over Drive. Alexander is scheduled to defend the IMPACT World Championship against Frankie Kazarian at the event.
