Becky Lynch Talks About Women Headlining Wrestlemania And Elimination Chamber
Becky Lynch has a lot of goals for WWE’s women’s division, including headlining Wrestlemania.
Former champion Becky Lynch was interviewed by Evening Times in Glasgow, Scotland to talk about WWE coming to the United Kingdom for a tour. WWE will film an episode of Raw and Smackdown while in the United Kingdom. In the interview, Lynch talked about the strides women’s wrestling has taken over the last year. She spoke of Charlotte Flair’s and Sasha Banks’ Hell in a Cell match and her tables match with Alexa Bliss. Lynch said it is exciting to be getting such opportunities and moving on to what is next.
“The next goal for us is that all the women want to main event Wrestlemania. As far as getting opportunities we really are getting them, so hopefully we’ll get ladder matches and Elimination Chamber matches down the line. We’re already getting to do cage matches, tables matches and that’s really exciting. We just need to keep moving in the direction we are moving in and the destination will be beautiful,” said Lynch.
Lynch also took time to tell the Scottish publication how she feels about NXT’s new Scottish wrestler Nikki Cross. She said Cross does great things in the ring.
“I think Nikki is amazing. I can’t wait to face her and work with her. The way she moves around is terrific, and the aggressiveness she has is great. She can be a real asset for the women’s division and I would love to see her on Smackdown,” said Lynch.
WWE’s tour of the United Kingdom last until May 12th. Lynch also talked about defending her title in Glasgow last year, her steam punk attire, and the time she took away from wrestling to be a flight attendant.
