Shota Umino Answers Will Ospreay’s Open Challenge For NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over
Roughneck answers the call.
Will Ospreay bested Tetsuya Naito in the main event of NJPW Battle Autumn on November 5 to retain the IWGP US Championship. After the bout, Ospreay issued an open challenge for anyone to face him at NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over on November 20.
The challenge initially went answered, but as Ospreay went to leave the ring, “Roughneck” Shota Umino came out wearing all white but holding his “Shooter” jacket from his time with Jon Moxley.
Umino confronted Ospreay, laying him out with the Dirty Deeds.

Ospreay defeated Umino at NJPW Royal Quest by referee stoppage, which was argued to be an early stoppage with Red Shoes saving his son.
