Baby Slice Returns At Bellator 179

Kevin Ferguson Jr., better known as Baby Slice, will return to action in a few weeks at Bellator 179, where he faces DJ Griffin in a catchweight affair.

Ferguson Jr. (0-1-0) made his professional MMA debut in late 2016 at Bellator 165, where he was submitted by Aaron Hamilton in the second round of their fight. Ferguson Jr. did go undefeated during his time as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Tom Brink by knockout at Warrior Nation XFA 12 in March 2016. Ferguson Jr. is the son of the late Kevin “KImbo Slice” Ferguson, who passed away in June 2016 due to heart complications.

Griffin (0-0-0) will not only be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight, but he will also be making his professional MMA debut as well. Griffin did win two of four fights as an amateur MMA fighter, with those victories coming over Michael Orzoco and Justin Gentemann. Griffin did not see any of his four amateur MMA fights go the distance and none of them went past the second round.

Bellator 179 takes place on Friday, May 19 from the Wembley Arena in London, England with Rory MacDonald and Paul Daley headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on Spike TV.
