Jerry Lawler Didn’t Like The House of Horrors Match: “I’m Not Scared Of Baby Dolls”
The House of Horrors match that took place at WWE Payback between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt was a pretty divisive bout in terms of enjoyment from fans.
The match began in an abandoned house — one that you can actually buy for a low price — in the middle of nowhere, and ended with Wyatt picking up a pinfall victory after interference by Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers.
Either you liked it, or you didn't. There really wasn't much of a middle ground with this.
One person who ended up on the dislike side of the fence for the match is Jerry "The King" Lawler.
During the latest episode of his podcast, "Dinner With The King", the WWE Hall of Famer spoke about the House of Horrors, and even admitted to being excited about the match when it was first announced.
"I was so looking forward to the 'House of Horrors' match because I'm such a big horror movie fan," Lawler stated. "I'm such a fan of these kind of things. I was really, really excited about this."
He then said he went from excitement to disappointment after watching how everything played out, noting that it wasn't scary at all.
"The WWE, they have the opportunity and they have the people to put together some really great special effects," he said. "I guess my problem was I got my expectations up too high. I guess I expected more scary stuff. I'm not scared of baby dolls."
