Report: Ace Steel Released By AEW

Ace Steel reportedly gone from AEW.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Ace Steel has been released by AEW.

Steel was involved in the altercation following AEW All Out between CM Punk, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), and Kenny Omega. Steel allegedly bit Omega during the altercation and threw a chair at Nick Jackson.

The altercation occurred after Punk aired his frustrations with Omega and the Bucks during his AEW All Out press conference.

Steel signed with AEW in 2022 and worked as a producer. He did appear on television on the final episode of AEW Dynamite before AEW All Out. A longtime friend of Punk, Steel cut a promo firing Punk up and convincing him to take the AEW World Title bout against Jon Moxley at All Out. During the promo, Steel dropped a curse word and reportedly paid an internal fine for his slip.

Punk, Omega, and the Bucks are still suspended for their roles in the altercation. It is unknown when they will return to television. Punk was the AEW World Champion while Omega and the Bucks were the AEW Trios Champions coming out of All Out.

Fightful will provide more information on the altercation and the fallout when it is known.
