Blue Demon & Arturo “Rudo” Rivera Inducted to AAA Hall of Fame on AAA TripleMania XXX: CDMX.

Two Lucha Libre Legends were inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame.

A Lucha Libre Legend was inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame.

On AAA’s magnum show, TripleMania XXX: CDMX, AAA commentator Hugo Savinovich revealed that Mexican Wrestling Legend Blue Demon (real name Alejandro Muñoz Moreno) & iconic AAA Commentator Arturo “El Rudo” Rivera were inducted to the 2022 Class of the AAA Hall of Fame, becoming the first inductees to the hall since La Parka in 2020. Rivera was inducted by his family whilst Muñoz was inducted by his son, former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Blue Demon Jr.

Blue Demon was a two-time NWA Welterweight Champion and won a total of twelve Luchas de Apuestas, remaining undefeated during this run. He was also a huge Movie Star in Mexico, starting in 25 movies in total, of which 9 were with El Santo as his co-star. Blue Demon, real name Alejandro Muñoz Moreno, passed away on December 16, 2000, due to a heart attack. While he 

Rivera began his career as a narrator with CMLL but then joined AAA as a part of the broadcast team, becoming the voice of AAA within his run. Rivera also was a part of doing coverage for multiple high-level sporting events. Rivera did coverage for the 1986, 1994, and 1994 editions of the FIFA World Cup for the Mexican Broadcast network Televisa.
