Angela Lansbury has passed away.
Fightful is sad to write that Angela Lansbury, who starred as Jessica Fletcher in “Murder, She Wrote,” has passed away at age 96. “Murder, She Wrote” ran from 1984–2003 and was the lead in for WWE Raw in the 90s.
Lansbury passed away in her sleep on October 11 at her Los Angeles home. She would have been 97 on October 16.
Fans who watched wrestling in the Attitude Era were consistently greeted by Lansbury if they tuned into WWE Raw a minute early as “Murder, She Wrote” was going off the air.
Rest in peace to an absolute legend. If you grew up in the Attitude Era in the states, THIS was the real person that kicked off Monday Night Raw. pic.twitter.com/dneYl3MnM7
