AEW Dynamite (10/12) Preview: AEW Invades Canada As Chris Jericho Defends ROH Gold Against Danielson
It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! It’s time for AEW Dynamite!
Tonight, AEW Dynamite makes its international debut from the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Chris Jericho comes back to Toronto (even though he is from Winnipeg, you idiot) and will headline the card as he defends his Ring of Honor World Championship against Bryan Danielson. Christian Cage, Swerve Strickland, PAC, Toni Storm, and more are all leading the charge as AEW invades Canada for the first time ever.
Here’s everything you need to know before tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS!
Chris Jericho vs. Bryan Danielson 3: For Honor
Tonight, Chris Jericho and Bryan Danielson will clash for the third time on AEW programming. This time, the Ring of Honor Championship is on the line. Chris Jericho is looking to change everything Ring of Honor stood for and arguably, Bryan Danielson is the living embodiment of what Ring of Honor stands for. Tonight, Danielson looks to reclaim a championship that defined so much of his life before going to WWE. Chris Jericho looks to prove why he’s still the GOAT and in the background, Daniel Garcia, as conflicted as ever, watches on.
Orange Cassidy Wants Gold And He’s Like Mad… Or Whatever…
With the rare occurrence of Orange Cassidy running on high emotion, he looks to challenge for the All-Atlantic Championship tonight. Last time, PAC was able to overcome the challenge of Cassidy by using a hammer in Queens, New York. This time, OC is not playing around. Tonight, he looks to win his first title belt in All Elite Wrestling.
Women’s Tag Team Action
In women’s action, Toni Storm will team with Hiikaru Shida to take on Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker Last week, Saraya made it clear that she will be getting physical in AEW and now, one must wonder where she will strike again. Waiting in the wings, once she is healed, Thunder Rosa still has to find her place in all of this as she is the true recognized Women’s Champion and also has a looming date with her former partner, Toni Storm
Luchasaurus vs. Jungle Boy
So it’s come to this. Luchasaurus and “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry have gone from best friends to mortal enemies thanks to the head games of Christian Cage. Tonight in Toronto, these former partners will go one-on-one as Jack Perry looks to exact Revenge and get one step closer to beating the hell out of Christian Cage. On the other side of the squared circle, Luchasaurus is hoping to continue his monstrous run by squashing his former friend.
Swerve Is Tired Of Daddy Ass In His House
Following the loss of the AEW World Tag Team Championship to The Acclaimed, in large part due to the interference of Billy Gunn, Swerve Strickland has challenged Billy Gunn to a one-on-one match on tonight’s episode. On a week that’s all about the celebration of the 25th anniversary of D-Generation X in WWE, the lone DX member on the AEW roster books to prove why he is a Hall of Famer. Swerve, on the other hand, looks to prove that no one, not even Daddy Ass can avoid father time and for Billy, the clock is ticking.
That is everything that is announced for tonight’s episode. Jon Moxley and Hangman Page are building up to an AEW World Championship match in 6 nights, Maxwell Jacob Friedman is also watching closely as he has a guaranteed AEW World Championship match he can cash in at any time. Plus, FTR, Jade Cargill, Samoa Joe, and more are all walking around backstage with some gold of their own as the road to Full Gear takes AEW outside the United States for the first time ever.
