UPDATE: X-Pac Arrested At Airport With Controlled Substances, Denies Relapse
X-Pac has been arrested for possession of a controlled substance but denies having a relapse.
Over the weekend, Sean Waltman (also known as X-Pac) did not show up for an appearance in London, England. The promotion that hired Waltman, International Pro Wrestling said he had not been heard from for twelve hours.
TMZ is now reporting Waltman was arrested at a Los Angeles airport on his way to the show. According to the report, Waltman was arrested going through customs when the substances were discovered. The substances are suspected to be marijuana and methamphetamine. He was released on $32,000 bail. TMZ also reported Waltman had an arrest warrant for an older DUI charge when he was arrested.
After Waltman did not show up to the event in London, his friend Kevin Nash and co-worker Keven Undergaro tweeted assuring fans Waltman was safe. The tweets came out during the time Waltman was in jail. Undergaro said Waltman was "dealing with issues" and Nash said there was "nothing to worry about" then stated he loved Waltman.
He has been public before about his previous struggles with controlled substance and drug addiction, especially methamphetamine. His last known stay in a rehabilitation clinic was in 2008, while he was wrestling for AAA in Mexico. In March, Waltman posted a picture saying he was in the best shape both "physically and mentally" in his life.
On Monday night, he tweeted the following, denying he had relapsed.
I've had a crazy weekend. I'll get into it on the show Wednesday. Way too much to tweet about. Still mentally strong & healthy. No relapse.

On Tuesday, he talked about the arrest on The Tomorrow Show. He maintained he had not relapsed, and will tell more of the story on Wednesday.
"I'm very sorry for everyone concerned…My past makes people go 'oh my god' and they come to assumptions, and I totally get it. Even once I tell my story, a Iot of people aren't going to believe it. That's how it goes when you have a history," said Waltman. "I wasn’t using anything. No relapse. Besides Cannabis, that's all I use," he added.
He said he is still mentally and physically strong.
Fightful Wrestling will provide coverage of any updates on or statements by Waltman regarding his arrest.
