WWE Extreme Rules (10/8/2022) Live Coverage.

– Michael Cole & Corey Graves welcomed the audience to the broadcast airing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before quickly transitioning to the opening match.

– Before the opening match, there was a small vignette of the White Rabbit.

Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match.

The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, & Butch) vs. Imperium (GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci).

The match began with the six men standing in the ring before exchanging punches. Vinci & Butch brawled on the broadcast table on the outside while Sheamus tossed GUNTHER into the barricade. Holland tossed Kaiser onto the ring corner while Butch connected an Enziguri kick on Kaiser. Holland paced Kaiser upside down in the corner before Butch hit a shotgun dropkick on Kaiser, but GUNTHER greeted him with a vicious chop to the chest. Vinci hit a Spinebuster on Holland before Kaiser greeted him with a Penalty Kick. Outside of the ring, GUNTHER, Vinci & Kaiser attacked Sheamus at the same time on the outside before Vinci & Kaiser launched him into the barricade. Gunther chopped Butch through the barricade. GUNTHER hit a series of vicious Machine Gun Chops on Sheamus on the mini-bar before slamming him into the bar with a back suplex. Holland & Butch attacked IMPERIUM, but GUNTHER greeted Holland with a boot kick while Kaiser stomped down Butch on the corner. GUNTHER slapped Holland in the face. GUNTHER got Butch up, but Butch hit an Enziguri Kick on GUNTHER before Kaiser & Vinci attacked Butch. Holland hit a double back body drop on Vinci & Kaiser, but GUNTHER kicked him in the head to send him to the outside. Kaiser & Vinci hit the IMPERIUM Bomb on Holland on the ring floor. IMPERIUM triple-teamed Butch before Gunther placed Butch at the top rope and laid his boot on Butch in the corner, allowing. Vinci & Kaiser to hit a double sliding kick on Butch’s head before posing to the crowd. Kaiser & Vinci got a hold of Butch before GUNTHER hit a chop on Butch. Sheamus got back up and tossed Vinci & Kaiser onto the barricade before staring daggers at GUNTHER. GUNTHER and Sheamus fired away blows before GUNTHER hit a German Suplex on Sheamus, but Sheamus responded with a lariat, a corner splash, and a bodyslam on GUNTHER. Sheamus got GUNTHER on the apron before hitting the Beats of the Battering before Holland & Butch joined in and stomped away on GUNTHER. Sheamus hit the Irish Curse on GUNTHER before getting in position for the Brogue Kick. Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick on GUNTHER, but Vinci broke the pin with a springboard splash on Sheamus. Vinci hit a Lariat on Holland and tried to hit a powerbomb on Holland, but Holland tossed him into the mat. Kaiser leaped off the middle rope, but Butch caught him with a leaping knee strike mid-air, sending him to the outside. GUNTHER hit a double shotgun dropkick on Butch & Holland, but Sheamus hit the Irish Curse & the Cloverleaf on GUNTHER. Sheamus tightened the hold, but Kaiser hit Sheamus with a stock on the back for a near fall for GUNTHER. The six men exchanged strikes away. Vinci hit a springboard cross body on Holland while Sheamus hit a Brogue Knee on GUNTHER for a near fall, with Vinci & Kaiser pulling Sheamus out of the ring. Holland, Vinci & Kaiser exchanged blows before Butch hit a Moonsault on them all off the Beer Barrels standing there. GUNTHER hit a Stick-assisted lariat on Sheamus for a nasty visual but only got a near fall. GUNTHER went for the Powerbomb, but Butch snapped GUNTHER’s fingers before Sheamus hit GUNTHER with the Irish Stick. Butch & Holland started firing away with the sticks on Kaiser & Vinci before Sheamus hit the Razor’s Edge on GUNTHER onto the broadcast table. Sheamus hit the brogue kick on Vinci for the pinfall win. 

Winners: The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, & Butch).

– Megan Morant interviewed The Miz backstage, with Miz saying that he was trying to approach Triple H, but was dumbfounded by something. That something was none other than Gritty, who gifted a T-Shirt to The Miz. The Miz rejected the gift and stomped the T-Shirt. 

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship – Extreme Rules Match.

Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey.

-Liv went for a bat, but Rousey tossed Morgan to the other side of the ring before locking in a leg variant of the arm bar on Morgan, but Morgan turned it into a pin for a near fall before retrieving the bat. Rousey hit a brazial arm drag on Morgan before tossing the bat to the outside. Rousey hit a knee strike on Morgan, but Morgan tossed Rousey onto the apron. Morgan hit an elevated Knee on Rousey to send her outside. Morgan went for a sliding kick on Rousey, but Rousey pulled the mat and laid in the strikes on Rousey. Morgan sprayed Rousey with a Fire Extinguisher, but Rousey responded with Piper’s Pit on Morgan on the outside. Rousey hit Morgan with the bat on the ribs before battering away at Morgan. Back in the ring, Morgan hit an Enziguri kick on Rousey before getting the bat back. Morgan hammered Rousey with the bat before Rousey unloaded Morgan with her black belt, tying her up on the ring post with the belt before hammering away at Morgan’s ribs before Morgan got out of the black belt knot and slamming Rousey into the apron. Morgan pulled a table from under the ring and got back in the ring & stomping away at Rousey in the corner. Morgan placed the table on the corner, but Rousey slammed Morgan into the table before hitting a knee strike on Morgan. Rousey got Morgan in a rope-assisted Triangle Coke on Morgan, but Morgan launched the two of them onto the outside to break the hold. Morgan hit Rousey with a chair into the abdomen before she placed the chair into the ring corner. Rousey got Morgan for a Piper’s Pit, but Morgan instead hit a foot back-stabber on Rousey before launching her into the ring post for a near fall. Morgan laid in the chair shots at Rousey before hitting a Chair-assisted Code breaker on Rousey for a near fall. Morgan placed Rousey into the table before climbing to the top rope. Morgan hit a top-rope senton on Rousey onto the table for a near fall, with Rousey quickly transitioning into a Triangle Choke. Morgan lifted Rousey into a powerbomb for a near fall, but Rousey kept the hold before adjusting her position into a Bicep Crusher. With a smile on her face, Morgan faded before the referee ended the match, giving Rousey the submission win. 

Winner & New SmackDown Women’s Champion: Ronda Rousey.

Strap Match

Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett) vs. Drew McIntyre.

The two wore a 13-foot long strap as agreed to for the match, but Kross slammed the strap onto the mat. Instead, Kross attacked McIntyre in the corner before stomping him down. The two brawled on the outside before Kross tossed McIntyre over the barricade. The two brawled across the audience area before Kross tossed McIntyre back to the ringside area. McIntyre hit a suplex on Kross into the ringside floor before tossing his head on the broadcast table, the stairs, the barricade, and the ring post. McIntyre hit a sideslam on Kross onto the apron. McIntyre & Kross got back in the ring before McIntyre placed the strap on Kross, officially beginning the match. McIntyre started hammering away at Kross with the strap both inside and outside of the ring. Scarlett distracted McIntyre long enough to allow Kross to slam McIntyre across the ring post thrice. Back in the ring, Kross hit an arm breaker on McIntyre’s injured left shoulder before hitting a wrist slam on McIntyre. Kross hit a knee strike, but McIntyre responded with a series of chops but Kross got McIntyre in the Kross Jacket, but McIntyre leaned Kross onto the corner. Kross whacked McIntyre with the strap across the chest. Outside of the ring, Kross hit a hammerlock flatliner on McIntyre onto the broadcast table. Kross then tied McIntyre across the ring post before hammering away at McIntyre with eh strap on his back. Back in the ring, Kross a Saito Suplex on McIntyre for a near fall. Kross hit McIntyre with the strap again, but McIntyre no sold it and hit two lariats, a belly-to-belly throw, and a neck breaker on Kross. Kross slammed McIntyre into the corner, but McIntyre responded with a Spinebuster on Kross before getting a jack-knife cover on McIntyre for a near fall. Kross & McIntyre exchanged strikes before the two exchanged strap smacks before McIntyre hit three strap smacks and the Future Shock DDT on Kross followed by a kip-up. Scarlett got in the ring to block McIntyre’s attempt at the kip-up before spraying McIntyre with Pepper Spray. With McIntyre blind-folded, Kross hit the Kross-Hammer on McIntyre’s neck for the pinfall win.

Winner: Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett).

– Gritty confronted The Miz backstage while he was on a call with Maryse.

WWE Raw Women’s Championship – Ladder Match.

Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley (w/ Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai).

The two began the match exchanging strikes before colliding with stereo cross-body splashes. The two raced back to the ring with ladders to the ring, with Bayley setting up the ladder immediately. Belair started climbing a large ladder before attacking Belair. Belair & Bayley got on a tug of war for a ladder, but Belair tossed Bayley out of the ring. Bayley & Belair brawled out of the ring before Bayley slammed Belair onto the ladder that was leaned on the apron. Bayley catapulted Belair onto the ladder, but Belair caught the ladder and climbed back in the ring, and started climbing the ladder to get the belt. Bayley and Belair pulled each other off the ladder a series of times before Belair pushed Bayley face-first onto the ladder and hit a body slam & a cartwheel moonsault on Bayley into the ladder. Belair got another ladder in the ring, but Bayley slammed Belair to the corner with the ladder. Bayley hit a back elbow on Belair before hitting a sunset bomb on Belair onto a ladder in the ring corner. Bayley climbed the ladder to get the title, but Belair strikes her down before Bayley slammed Belair into the ladder. Bayley hit Belair in the ribs with the ladder before sending her out of the ring with the ladder. Bayley placed a ladder between the stairs & the barricade before hitting a running elbow drop on Belair onto the tilted ladder. Bayley then slammed Belair into the apron before attempting to sandwich Belair in a ladder, but Belair evaded and broke part of a ladder and hit Bayley on her back. Back in the ring, Belair set another ladder in the ring, but Bayley crawled to the ring and pulled Belair off the ladder. Bayley climbed on the ladder, but Belair pulled Bayley and hit a spinebuster on Bayley. Belair climbed the ladder again, but Bayley pushed the ladder to drop Belair off the ladder and send her to the outside of the ring. Bayley pulled a piece of her knee brace and tried to attack Belair with it, but Belair caught Bayley with the KOD before climbing the ladder, but Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai dumped Belair onto the top rope before stomping her down. Belair got them off and hit a Double KOD on Sky & Kai, to the shock and awe of the crowd. Bayley attacked Belair with a ladder before she slammed Belair into the corner followed by hitting the Rose Plant on Belair. Bayley placed Belair under the ladder as she climbed the ladder to get the title, but Belair pushed the ladder from underneath and sent Bayley onto the top rope. The two raced to the ladder to retrieve the title before exchanging punches on the top of the ladder. Bayley slammed Belair onto the ladder with her braid, but Belair got back up and attacked Bayley with her own braid. Bayley got a ladder from the corner, but Belair pulled Bayley and hit a Ladder-assisted KOD on Bayley before retrieving the title. Belair retains the Raw Women’s Championship.

Winner & Still Raw Women’s Champion: Bianca Belair.

– There was a video of someone taking a picture with somebody dressed up as a White Rabbit.

I Quit Match.

Edge vs. Finn Balor (w/ Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio & Damien Priest).

The match began with the two staring daggers at each other before Edge leaned Balor into the corner and started laying in the strikes and a back elbow strike on Balor. Edge hit a swinging neck breaker on Balor before continuing to hit the punches on Balor. Edge slammed Balor into the corner with an Irish Whip and started leaning Balor’s neck back before punching him and hitting another Irish Whip on Balor into the corner. Balor hit a shotgun dropkick on Edge’s leg before stomping away on Edge’s left knee. Balor locked in a rope-assisted knee lock on Edge before hitting a double-leg takedown on Edge. Balor got a twist on Edge’s left knee before rolling Edge into the Figure Four Leg Lock on Edge. Edge flipped the Figure Four Leg Lock to turn it into a modified leg lock, but Balor turned Edge back into the Figure Four Leg Lock, but Edge hit three punches on Balor to break the hold. Outside of the ring, Balor trapped Edge in the apron before stomping away on Edge’s head underneath the near. Balor hammered away with kicks on Edge before slamming his face repeatedly onto the broadcast table. Edge hit punches on Balor, but Balor responded with a sling blade on Edge onto the ringside floor. Edge picked Balor up before launching himself and Balor onto the barricade, landing on the timekeeper’s area. Edge punched Balor before the two brawled across the audience area into the Pre-Show Panel. Edge hit a suplex on Balor onto the arena floor. Edge got away and hit Balro with a Hockey Stick in the head. Balor got in the Kick-off panel before locking in a hockey-stick assisted Crossface on Balor, but Balor pushed the stick and broke the hold. The two climbed the arena before the two made their way into a tunnel, with Balor slamming Edge into the walls. Edge launched Balor into the concrete overhead on the tunnel. Balor slammed Edge into the guard rail, with a random girl waving her hand to the camera as Edge was agonizing in pain. Balor got Edge in a Guard Rail-assisted headlock before he stomped him away and the two got further down the audience area. Balor hit Edge with a chair from the audience. Balor drank a beer from a fan before tossing Edge over the barricade back to the ringside area. Balor got a chair and hit Edge with it on his ribs, sending Edge back into the ring. Balor got back in the ring and hit Edge with the edge of the chair. Balor unloaded with chair shots on Edge, but Edge said that does not quit. Balor placed a chair in between the top & middle turnbuckle and tried to launch Edge into the chair, but Edge hit a forearm strike to block the hold. Balor hit a Russian Leg Sweep before Balor locked in an Octopus Hold on Edge before transitioning into a LaBelle Lock on Edge. Balor striked down Edge before trying to toss him into the chair in the corner, but Edge instead tossed Edge into the chair. Edge got the vent chair and started targeting Balor’s left leg with the chair before locking in the Edge-ucator on Balor, but Damian Priest came in to interrupt Edge. Edge sent Priest outside of the ring before hitting a spear through the middle rope on Balor onto Priest and a wild Dominik Mysterio. Back in the ring, Edge tried to hit the spear on Balor but Rhea Ripley came from behind and handcuffed Edge onto the top rope. Balor, Dominik & Priest got back in the ring and started to attack Edge. Balor got two Kendo Sticks and fired away at Edge with one of the Kendi Sticks on his back. Rey Mysterio came to the ring fo the save, hitting a crossbody on Balor & an inverted 619 in Priest, but Dominik shockingly clubbed Rey with a forearm strike before tossing him into the ring post. Dominik started to stomp away at Rey Mysterio’s head before Balro attacked Edge’s knee with the Kendo Stick. Beth Phoenix got the Kendo Stick and started to attack Balor & Priest with the Kendo stick before confronting Rhea Ripley in the ring. Ripley and Phoenix exchanged strikes before Phoenix hit a spear on Ripley, retrieving the keys to the handcuffs and freeing him. Edge hit a spear on Priest before confronting Dominik. Dominik tried to shake Edge’s hand, but Edge instead hit a low blow on Dominik. From behind, Balor hit a sling blade on Edge and went for a shotgun dropkick, but Edge hit a spear on Balor. Edge hit two more spears on Balor before telling Phoenix to get a chair. Ripley attacked Phoenix with the Brass Knuckles, which allowed Priest to hit the South of Heaven Chokeslam and Balor to hit Three Coup de Graces on Edge. Balor told Edge to say that he quit, but Edge instead told him to go to hell. In response to Edge’s answer, Ripley got two chairs and went to hit a Con-chair-to on his wife Phoenix. To stop Ripley, Edge had no choice but to say “I Quit”, awarding Balor the win. Despite Edge saying the words, Ripley still slammed Phoenix with the chair to the head. Rey Mysterio, Petey Williams, and more referees came to the ring to assist with Phoenix’s unconscious body as Balor & The Judgement Day stood tall on the ramp.

Winner: Finn Balor (w/ Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest).

– Gritty gifted another T-Shirt to The Miz, but Miz stomped down Gritty. Unfortunately for The Miz, Dexter Lumis was behind him and he choke him out with the Code of Silence submission hold. Lumis got Gritty back up, but Gritty kicked Miz in the abdomen in retaliation. 

Fight Pit Match with Special Guest Referee Daniel Cormier.

Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle.

The match began with Riddle hitting two kicks on Rollins’ leg before hitting a body shot on Rollins. Riddle hit two head kicks on Rollins, but Rollins blocked them with his arm. Riddle kicked Rollins in the abdomen before hitting a takedown and laying in the shots on Rollins. Riddle hit a high kick on Rollins off the cage before laying in the strikes on Riddle, but Cormier tossed Riddel to tell him to fight Rollins, not him. Rollins attacked Riddle from behind and stomped down Riddl. Riddel went for a Triangle on Rollins, but Rollins tossed Riddle to break the hold. Riddle locked in the Triangle Choke again but Rollins tossed Riddle onto the cage. Rollins pushed Cormier to hit knee strikes on Riddle, but Cormier pulled Rollins aside and told him to never touch him again. Rollins racked Riddle’s head into the cage before hitting a forearm strike on the back of Riddle’s neck. Rollins told Cormier to count Riddle, but Riddle stood up at the count of six. Rollins hit two superkicks on Riddle before instructing Cormier to start the count. Riddle got up at the count of six, but Rollins hammered in on Riddle. Riddle hit an overhead chop and slammed Rollins into the cage, but Rollins responded by hitting a suplex on Riddle onto the cage. Rollins climbed the cage before hitting a Twisting Frog Splash on Riddle before Cormier started the count again. Riddle got back up at the count of seven, but Rollins started laying in the penalty kicks on Riddle. Rollins talked trash to Riddle before going for the Peruvian Neck Tie, but Riddle twisted his way into hitting an RKO on Rollins from out of nowhere. The two got back up and started exchanging strikes before Riddle went for another RKO, but Rollins blocked it and hit a Curb Stomp on Riddle. Riddle got up at the count of nine before being greeted by Rollins with a stomp, but Riddle made Rollins climb onto the top of the Fight Pit. Riddle got to the top of the cage, but Rollins bit Riddle’s fingers. Riddle instead locked in a sleeper on Rollins, but Rollins slammed Riddle into a chain attached to the cage before slamming Riddle’s face into the cage. Rollins then hit a Buckle Bomb on Riddle onto the top part of the cage. Rollins hit a Pedigree o Riddle on the podium and demanded Cormier to count it, but Cormier informed him that he can only count if it is in the cage. Riddle hit an RKO on Rollins on the podium, sending Rollins back on the cage. Riddle, as the madman that he is, hit a Senton off the top part of the Cage onto Rollins. the two got back up at the count of nine before Riddle got Rollins in a Triangle Choke, but Rollins powerbombed Riddle across the ring and cage. Despite this, Riddle kept the hold on Rollins, leading to Rollins tapping out and giving Rollins the submission win. 

Winner: Matt Riddle.

– After the match, the lights went out with Riddle & Cormier on the ramp. The song “He’s got the whole world in his hand” started blaring from the speakers as the crowd erupted. There were figures dressed up as a live Huskus The Pig Boy, Mercy The Buzzard, Rambling Rabbit & Abby The Witch across the arena before showing a black Fiend mask & a Fiend-dressed figure on the ringside. There was a look at the Firefly Funhouse before a video of a masked figure said “who killed the world? You did!”. The lights went back on to reveal a door on the ramp, which opened by force. The open door revealed none other than the returning Bray Wyatt making his return to WWE. Wyatt’s new logo flashed on the screen to end the broadcast.
