Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Biff Busick, formerly known as Oney Lorcan in NXT, is working there as a Guest Coach over the next few days.
Busick signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2015 and later debuted on NXT TV in February 2016. He subsequently formed a tag team with Danny Burch. Busick competed for NXT and NXT UK in 2018, and he moved to 205 Live in 2019, though he still performed on NXT as well.
Lorcan and Burch went on to align with Pat McAfee and Pete Dunne to form the Kings of NXT. The duo won the NXT Tag Team Championship in October 2020, but the titles were vacated the following March after Burch went down with a shoulder injury in March 2021.
WWE released Busick on November 4, 2021. He then returned to the independent scene and competed for Beyond, GCW, and PWG, among other promotions. Busick recently announced that he is taking time away from the ring. Per Cagematch, he last wrestled in June when he faced Alec Price at Beyond’s Please Come Back III event.
Before he signed with WWE, Busick won the CZW World Heavyweight Championship and Beyond’s Greatest Rivals Round Robin Tournament in 2015, among other accolades.
Busick previously reflected on his time with WWE. You can check out his comments here.
