WWE SmackDown

– Solo Sikoa made history on Friday when he defended the NXT North American Championship on SmackDown. After he won the gold this past Tuesday on NXT 2.0, he defended the title, with some help from Sami Zayn, against Madcap Moss.

– Logan Paul opened the show and announced that he’s holding a press conference on Saturday. He dared Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to come. Paul Heyman returned and told Paul that he’d have to “handle” him if he didn’t make the smart choice and pick a fight with someone else. Paul noted that he’d only need one lucky shot to beat Reigns. Sami Zayn tried to intervene and got dropped by a stiff punch from Paul.

– The broadcast team later confirmed that Reigns will attend the press conference.

– Speaking of Zayn, he battled Ricochet in a singles match, and despite his best efforts, he came up short against “The Highlight of the Night”. During the match, Zayn confronted The Usos, who were at ringside.

Next week’s episode will feature the return of Roman Reigns.

– Rodriguez discussed her eventful night in a WWE Digital Exclusive. She noted that she was shocked when Shotzi came to her aid. Rodriguez also made it clear that she’s not done with Damage CTRL, and she intends to regain the gold with Aliyah.
